Rialto

The staff were very friendly and helpful despite being very busy. The theaters were clean and comfortable, and the selection of movies was much wider than most cinemas.

Great films, clean and comfy theatres, good price and it has a bar. Pleasant service. Screens perhaps a little small and no free parking and the little lights on the stairs inside theatre are to bright/distracting but definitely be back again and again.

Went on the spur of the moment stuck in a traffic jam.... saw the movie AIR it was an amazing movie. It's been a long time since I have been to the Rialto Cinema, and I was surprised by how many theaters there were, so they had a good selection of movies to choose from and the theaters were not crowded. A good nite.

Love the Rialto. Comfortable seats, nice screen. Great movies. But we went to watch Babylon last night, we were the last people leaving…or trying to leave but the cinema shut with us inside. It was an unsettling experience and quite unprofessional from Rialto’s part. Not impressed.

Have been here twice in the last month, both in cinema 3 and both times the cinema has inspects/moths/ mosquitoes ?im not sure as it’s dark but enough for them to fly directly in-front of you throughout the film and to project a large shadow on the screen. I thought it was a one off but it happened again a month in between, truly bizarre! Other than that the staff are really lovely and have a bar so you can take a glass of wine in. the chairs are large and comfortable enough, the arm rests are generous with a platform side table to put your drink - in comparison academy cinemas offer a bar but awkwardly don’t have a good spot to put your wine glasses in the cinema as they don’t fit in a traditional cup holder so this is a small but impactful design feature here to save you holding it in the dark. They offer a range of kapati ice creams, scoops or sundaes. They didn’t have the flavour in stock on the menu so I skipped. My sister got one and enjoyed.

How the staff can find the energy and motivation to smile at you at 8pm, I will never know. But this is still our favourite venue for films of character and a good night out.

This movie theater has the absolute WORST, MOST DISGUSTING POPCORN I've ever tasted in any movie theater, city, or country I've visited. I’ve been to 52 countries. Rancid, dry, brown ish, you are purchasing pure Acetic Acid. I went three times, on different days/weeks, and my friends said the same thing each time.

Went and saw the secrets of dumbledoor I had a large popcorn a kumara fries and a coke to share with my partner. The cinemas were nice and clean and the bathrooms very tidy. Good experience and the lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming

Generally I have had lovely experiences at this cinema, but this evening I felt a maggot crawl up my leg which was extremely gross and makes me question the cleanliness of the place. A true shame.

It's a bit old, kind of like you're walking into a five nights at Freddy's, I also think the cinema projector was miscalibrated because there was major magenta fringing which seemed to lag behind the picture
