Organising a funeral can be daunting, especially when dealing with the grief as well. When my Mother in law died 3 weeks ago we were given a recommendation by a few people that Dil’s on the Shore were very good. That turned out to be an understatement. They were excellent. From their picking up of Mum from the care home, to us picking up of her ashes from Dil’s and everything in between, were first class. Louis, who was our personal funeral planner, put our minds at ease when confronted with all the decisions, and helped us to farewell Mum in the best possible way. Absolutely exceptional service, Tom and Peter were incredibly respectful of my Dad during the whole process despite short notice and the late hour in which he passed. Tom simplified the entire process of organising the service, and maintained fantastic professionalism the whole way through. Cannot thank them enough for the quality of service, affordability and respect that Dil’s has provided.
Despite a bad initial call to an external call centre, this place was really good with the funeral of my beloved partner. From the moment I met Stacey I was in safe hands. She was comforting and helpful all the way through and had to deal with my extreme emotions at times. The funeral was supremely planned and executed and they were very helpful when I had problems doing a slide show. The coffin and flowers were perfect and they did a fine job handing me the ashes. An extra surprise was a beautiful memorial book that accompanied them. I also appreciated how they took my partner from his hospice bed to the home and then prepared him. He looked very lifelike and then the coffin we ordered was a basic model, but still looked very elegant and much better than you would think.nThey were very sympathetic and helpful and I can thank them enough along with the rest of my partner's family.
Dil’s and Stacey made what was a very devastating and confusing time for us easier. We felt cared for, looked after and like nothing was ever unreasonable or too much to ask. We were always treated with respect and empathy.nAnd as an aside, the facilities are immaculate.nThank you.
This was the best decision we made in regards to my wife's funeral.nFrom the first contact to the lastnDavid and the staff have been respectful caring and very professional.nThey worked very hard and fulfilled everything we requested and treat her with the dignity she deserved.nAt such a difficult time it was great to have amazing people on your side to help younThank you.
