Great atmosphere and so much seating! The food is a bit pricey but the serving sizes are huge. We got the smoked salmon eggs benedict and mushrooms on toast and both were delicious! I think it's the best mushrooms on toast I've ever had
I didn’t take pictures of the food we had because they were just quick bites and a cup of hot chocolate I LOVED their egg frittata bakery bite & zucchini muffin was good too. Lovely ambience, great service with all smiles, quick at service too and I believe their other menu options would be decent too. I look forward to going there for breakfast sometime soon.
We loved this please, we ordered our food, it came quickly even though the place was packed. The drinks arrived just few minutes before the brunch, which is a miracle in this country, so we were able to eat and have our hot drinks at the same time. The waiter was super friendly and he came by to check if everything was okay a couple of times. The food itself was super tasty and you can tell it‘s homemade. Definitely recommend it!!!
Going into a restaurant and you notice it’s super busy. You know it’s going to be good. The bread was super soft. The potato hash cake was perfect. Their coffees never disappoint you.
If you're after a good old fashioned brekkie, then you have to visit Circus Circus. In the heart of Mt Eden this gem of a place has it all. Great breakfast, good variety of other meals and an awesome display cabinet for the sweet tooth. Nice amd spacious and perfect for kids and larger groups
The staff was really friendly and was a nice atmosphere. The only reason this is not a 5-star is that there were no hotdogs available, and this was the only reason I came here. I ended up having a chicken burger instead, which was good. Slightly disappointed hotdogs were out of stock.
As a foodie, I wanted to try this place. Damn! It was my mistake. Will never go back. Food was very mean. Egg Ben had not enough hollandaise sauce, very small portion of mushrooms which does not justify the price. Circus hotdog - highly not recommended. The bun was quite dry - must have used the one from a few days ago but tried to conceal it by toasting it. We paid extra $4.90 for fries for tiny portion. Pancake - not enough maple syrup. The feeling was that the owner was very mean and totally oriented to make $ only. Very regretful and left the place in hurry. Oh the owner even charge 2% credit card surcharge. 100% do not recommend!!
We got ricotta pancakes and steak sandwich. Very average, as pancakes were very dry and the steak was a thin piece of beef. I expected something better, like an actual slices of a steak inside the sandwich. They should do something about their pancakes cuz it was way too dry, so I had to keep sipping my coffee while eating.
What we ordered: Walnut brownie $6.9 Pistachio tan slice $6.9 White chocolate Oreo cheesecake $13.9 Tiramisu $13.9 I was very hesitant about this cafe cause the clown decor was terrifying but I was pleasantly surprised! The walnut brownie was the biggest brownie I have ever bought, it was like a brick. The brownie was cut very large and it was so tall and thick that I knew I was going to get it no matter what. In saying that, it definitely wasn't the best brownie I've ever had, it was a bit too dense for my liking, kind of like baking a cake and not adding any baking powder. It was still pretty good though, I just wish it had been a bit softer and less heavy. The pistachio tan slice was really nice, it was kind of like a caramel slice and that biscuit + caramel combo is just unbeatable. I would've preferred more pistachio and a slightly less crumbly base but it was still delicious. The white chocolate Oreo cheesecake was definitely my favourite, which, apparently is a controversial opinion. For starters the slices were really really large, but the cheesecake was sweet and fluffy and I might just have the biggest sweet tooth but I love white chocolate flavoured desserts. It just brings a little buttery richness to things that I enjoy very much. The last thing we ordered was a tiramisu and I absolutely love tiramisu, I order it whenever it's on the menu. Something I really liked about this tiramisu in particular though was that it had a boozy taste. It feels just a bit more mature, and you don't end up nauseous because of the decadence and trying hard not to throw up. I think the booze taste did a great job of creating a very eat-able dessert. I'm not sure I'd go back for the actual dinner menu but I thought it was a great place for dessert!
Such a nice cafe. Excellent food and really good coffee.
