Amazing service, great food, and most of all, it’s 100% authentic Japanese and this is coming from a Japanese. I highly recommend this place. Since they are Okinawan they do pork dish really well. In saying that, all their dishes are amazing. Their bento deal during their lunch service is fantastic, definitely the best value in town. They also offer different kind of fish for sashimi, not just same ol tuna and salmon.
Heard great reviews and wanted to check it out. Great service. Quite busy.nnI would be happy to order the takoyaki, beef tataki, katsu again. Enjoyed the anmitsu parfait, the matcha ice cream was nice.nnTried the nanban chicken, was fine. The fried mushrooms were fine but nothing special. Same with the squid.nnWouldn't recommend the pork belly Okinawan starter or kimchi udon.
Wonderful small plates for our table, wine, Kirin beer and then umeshu and cheesecake for dessert. It was busy the night we went and the staff were awesome.nI'll be coming back for a sake tasting.
The J staff looked a bit unwillingly to service. The food was so-so which means it was totally overpriced. Ordered Gyoza and Udon, both just not worth the price… The homemade Gyoza just tastes too much like a supermarket dumpling. Meanwhile the Udon with chicken was much more disappointed. Way too hot hard to eat though and the Onzen egg just became normal boiled egg.nnWould feel much more better if they rather provide tasty foods with good portion instead of big portion of not-tasty foods.nnThe atmosphere was okay.nnLastly, it was okay to have one try.
So good to see a restaurant open locally in a recently vacated site. To have this one is A Treat indeed. Small and cozy but perfectly formed with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Beautifully curated menu offering a wide and tasty choice of Japanese and Korean, Asian style food. Table of 5, all different dishes. All happy. Very acceptable wait time. Charming and knowledgeable wait staff... friendly and cheerful but not overbearing. Good drinks menunWill definitely be a favourite!!
