This is the place to go if you want a taste of real Japan in Christchurch!nThey offer a wide range of dishes, including teppanyaki, with plenty of vegetarian options too. Really great atmosphere. Outside is even better especially on rainy day. Unfortunately we couldn't try this time but we will. Lets talk about food. Absolutely 10 out of 10 japanese food even I compared food which I had in Japan. If you are a japanese food person... Must try. Lastly a lady and man with a hat are so kind and professional. Definitely will come back for other food. We tried ribeye, yakisoba, udon, yakitori. All of them were good.
Went on Saturday lunch, was surprised by the menu, plenty of great choices either for snack bites or big mealwe did. Had bento lunch box, yakisoba, agedashi tofu and Angry birdHERO dish!!!, all taste really great! Definitely will revisit soon!
Amazing service, great food, and most of all, it’s 100% authentic Japanese and this is coming from a Japanese. I highly recommend this place. Since they are Okinawan they do pork dish really well. In saying that, all their dishes are amazing. Their bento deal during their lunch service is fantastic, definitely the best value in town. They also offer different kind of fish for sashimi, not just same ol tuna and salmon.
We shared five entrees and four mains between eight people and everyone had enough food. We all really enjoyed our meal, very tasty and authentic. The highlights were the edamame, braised pork belly and chicken katsu curry.
