I brought a waterpik water flosseryesterday after trying to decided between a Philips that my husband sells I went with the chemist warehouse one, got home charged it for 4 hours went to try it and out it wouldn’t work, it’s not a difficult piece of technology you fill it with water and push the power button. Nothing no water came out my husband and I both fluffed around with it but no joy. Now I hate returning things and had a feeling it would be painful and yes it was! I get to the counter and tell the lady what was wrong with it she said oh you would like to swap it for another one I said actually I’d rather get a refund and I’d buy a different brand. The look on her face was one of I don’t want to refund you. She then says could you just wait here and wonders off with the waterpik, I even texted my husband who works in sales that I have a feeling they don’t want to refund me. Think I stood there roughly 8 mins she finally comes back and says it’s going and shows me a video of it working. I said how weird cause it’s not complicated and it definitely wasn’t working last night and the bottom even had a little leak. Slightly confused I say ok thanks and take it all away as I’m gathering it all I’m counting the tips to make sure all there, one in the waterpik two one be little plastic bag they came in and she is holding the fourth in another plastic bag.. When I get to my car I’m thinking why is there two plastic bags the tips all just came in the one. Then I’m thinking I have a weird feeling that the reason she took so long was she just went and got another one off the shelf and swapped it. My husband then took it back in and they swear they didn’t swap it they just filled it and pushed the button and it went so no need to refund cause it’s working. After a decent battle they reluctantly refunded the waterpik. My husband was like why are you resisting so hard to refund this even if it’s the same machine why would we trust it to continue to work then? The encounter felt super off to me and I trust my gut that the machine I brought is not the one she brought back. Lesson learnt I will not be buying expensive items from chemist warehouse ever again.
The security needs some serious training on how to deal with customers. I went in there with a hoodie on as its freezing in winter and was asked to remove entering. Usually calm but the security needs to read the room otherwise if its someone else the situation would have been much worse.
Went to the Chemist Warehouse in Te Rapa Hamilton today and I was very disappointed the place was filthy there was stock all over the floors the shelves were a mess the whole of the makeup section was filthy 1 wall completely empty with dirty makeup tissues all over the place not 1 person was cleaning or tidying up. The sales staff were not helpful at all it's the worst I have ever seen come on Chemist Warehouse take pride in your workplace you will lose customers if it doesn't change never again i walked out feeling dirty.
Shoutout to Francis and the crew who consistently provide a good service. As customers sometimes it's easy to forget how difficult it can be to navigate in dynamic environment. I don't completly agree with some of the feedbacks placed here, in that wife and I have always had a good experience. Cheers guys.
