Just had a super yummy Dairy-Free Butter Chicken. It’s been a long time since have a curry that yummy since becoming Dairy intolerant a few years ago. Highly recommend.
Used to love this place always have ordered butter chicken with no nuts as I have anaphylactic allergy to them and have never had any issues here. When I ordered I informed the waiter of my allergy but once I started eating it I begun having an allergy. I informed the same waiter that my meal had been contaminated with nuts and he shook his head and said “nope there is no way we have no nuts in our kitchen” I explained how I was having a reaction and that there definitely is nuts in their kitchen and he laughed and made us pay full price for my meal that I could not eat. Their menu has multiple dishes and naans with cashew and other nuts. This is a very serious matter that they lied to me and did not believe me. We paid because I was embarrassed and did not want to make a scene as other people in the restaurant were looking and I could tell that the waiter did not care and had no empathy what so ever. I was sick all night and am very sad and disappointed with the whole experience here. I should not have had to pay and did not deserve to be treated the way I did.
On an observed Christmas Eve evening, I visited here for dinner on recommendation. There is a wide range of traditional Indian dishes to choose from, and wines to follow.nnI was able to order their Vindaloo Lamb curry alongside freshly made garlic naan bread, and it did not disappoint. Although their Indian hot was not as hot as I was expecting, the staff were kind enough to let me know that you can further increase the spiciness as required if it is not enough. The lamb was soft and tender, while the curry was not too overwhelming and was perfect with naan and basmati rice.nnTheir interior layout is noteworthy, with chairs that look like thrones and they even have wheels for easier maneuvering!nnI will be returning for more for sure, would absolutely recommend!
We had the pani puri and tikka masala curry. Both were great, however two of the pani puris had already broken making it a bit difficult pouring the liquid into.
Beautiful butter paneer. Ordered a large, it’s enough for 3 people, great serving size. Naan breads were delicious. Also had their lamb mince & cheese naan, that will be my go to from now on, sooooo good! Thank you Chand Indian Restaurant. We’ll order again soon.
