We had an incredible time sea kayaking and the cove was beautiful! We had lovely weather and calm water, but enough wind to enjoy the sail which was a lot of fun! Our guide was amazing and the hot drinks at the end was a delicious bonus! Would definitely recommend seeing Cathedral Cove this way it was a great adventure and you could get up close and enjoy it at your own pace feeling like it was just you there! Brilliant activity that we all loved, a highlight on our trip in NZ!
We had the most amazing time kayaking to cathedral cave. All the team are super professional And MAX our guide did an fantastic job, he is very knowledgeable, energetic and he can prepare the BEST coffee We had great time, it's definitely worth it!
We really enjoyed this kayak tour! While the flooding / damage that happened to cathedral cove is terribly unfortunate, it was quite magical to see it from the water completely empty and to ourselves which definitely seemed quite rare given the popularity of this spot. We aren’t the most avid kayakers but had an absolute blast exploring the coast. Highly recommend this tour to anyone! The coffee/tea/hot chocolate/ biscuits served after were a nice extra treat!
Thanks Andy for a cool day out. Great tour guide with a fountain of facts and stories. The pricing almost put us off, I'd say it should be a little cheaper but since it likely makes for a cosier group, it probably works out well. The full day tour is essentially just paying both tours in the same day, you come back to the beach landing and then kayak out to the second destination, adding or removing whoever booked that tour. The cathedral cove was great, it was a tourist spot that everyone goes to see and kayaking there is a really great experience. I would HIGHlY recommend the blowhole tour though. This was the adventure that made the day, neigh, the entire holiday for me. You get to see soo much, and essentially a bunch of Cathedral coves in the water. Do the Full day tour, or do the blowhole kayak and hike the Cathedral cove another day for the best experience. I will say, take sunblock! I put some on as we left, it didn't last the day, it needs a top up after 3 hours and lacquer it on...My face is on fire right now. Don't bother with legs/torso much, they don't get to see any sun while kayaking. Shoulders up and arms. Have a great time, I certainly did!
An absolute must experience on any trip to the Coromandel Peninsula. Guide Jack was fantastic and knowledgeable. Stunning scenery like few places on earth. Great way to experience the beauty. Can’t recommend enough.
Amazing!! Such an cool experience. Hayden was an awesome guide. Lots of knowledge about the Maori history in the area. Beautiful place to go kayaking. Highly recommended
Can not thank Mike, Andy and team enough for looking after my whanau out on the water. Thank you Mike for organizing my daughter and I a trip on a boat while you guys were canoeing Andy thank you for taking my boy with you, it definitely helped with his ASD and allowed him to be a part of the journey. Can't exaggerate how much this team put my mind at ease with their down to earth nature and go getter attitude. My boys absolutely loved their experience and will carry it with them!!! They said it was awesome being out on the water learning site in the area covered. Nga mihi kia koutou!!!
Great tour, very professional, informative, well organised and safe. Our tour guide Max was outstanding. The Remote Coast Tour by Cathedral Cove Kayaks was as great as advertised and an experience we certainly didn't want to miss. Thank you so much!
Absolutely amazing experience. James was a fun guide who gave us good instruction and guidance. I’d highly recommend.
We had a great day with Andy! We did a 3 hour tour with them. On our day it was a bit windy but Cathedral Cove Kayak Tours were on top of it changing to a one-way from Cooks Beach to Hahei Beach. It was a beautiful paddle.
