Amazing day! Great guides. Stunning Canyon. Felt safe the whole time. I am not the most secure footed person around and it was all good. Also not the most fit and I was still all good. Cannot recommend and day with Ross and the team enough!
We got to experience the half-day session and our entire group of 8 all agreed on the idea that this was “not as physically demanding” as we all expected. Great trip, but we did have to adjust/adapt to alternative shoe sizes as our guide didn’t have enough of the same option packed.
We had an awesome time Canyoning with Brig as our guide. He made it light and fun, and did a great job keeping the diverse group together and safe as we worked our way through the canyon. If anything, he made me want to do the full day trip to get the extra adventure experience next time I try this.
I did the half day trip and it was such a cool experience! Our guide Brig was great and made us all feel safe and well looked after. I got to abseil down a waterfall which I never thought I would do. They kit you out in all the gear, so even though the water is pretty cold, you stay nice and warm in your wetsuit. Then we got vouchers for lunch after which was a great touch! I would highly recommend giving this a go! It is great for people of all abilities, like I had never done it before and had the best time!
It was a great experience to share the time with our guide who never told us his name. Not so difficult, and a lot of fun. The water temperature is around 9-10 degrees, but you never felt cold when wearing these thick wet suit.
I did the half day canyoning tour in Gibbston Valley with Dominic and he was an absolute legend. It was my first time canyoning and he made it super memorable with his high energy. You really feel like a kid again going through climbing through the canyon and waterfalls- a must do activity in Queenstown!!
Awesome experience with Ross! We did the full day canyon and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. One of my top activities in Queenstown, would highly recommend!
Our group had an awesome day with Canyoning New Zealand - special thanks to our guide, Ross. For many of us, it was our first time and definitely one to remember. We didn't want it to end! Highly recommend this activity if you're visiting Queenstown!
Did the Gibberston self drive today. TLDR: great trip, would recommend. Not the newest equipment, but functional and sure warm enough! Let’s start from the beginning, the service provided by the office was not just great it was perfect! The response time is super fast, they are really kinds and are there to help and give honest advice. Did a starter/beginner track although I have plenty of experience. Still had a really fun time with the group and the guide. The track takes about 1h 45 mins to complete with a explanation of about 15 mins at the beginning, 15 mins to get into your wetsuit and all the other equipment and at the end a 15min walk back to the beginning. Our guide Brig had an eye out for our safety, entertainment of the group, and an overall good experience. The only thing I can say of remarks are that the equipment could get an upgrade since it’s a bit used. Like the shoe laces are worn out/ripped on some of the shoes. Lovely afternoon.
Top notch experience. Our guide Dom was a major good sort, we had an absolute blast. Highly recommend this adventure!
