Operated by an amazing couple, Rita & John. They have dedicated their lives providing the very best of Malaysian Cuisine. This is definitely my goto place when I'm feeling homesick. It truly takes me back home to Singapore and Malaysia. Try their Wan Dan Mix Noodle. It's amazing!

Best Malaysian food I’ve had in Auckland! Super flavourful, delicious and cooked perfectly. Wish we came for dinner so we could get the bigger portions! The aunty is also so friendly and treated us like family. Can’t wait to be back to try everything else.

Eating here is always a vibe. The food is so authentic, the auntie is so lovely she knows more about how much u should eat than you do and the atmosphere is great. Would recommend to anyone wanting malaysian food in akl. Fave place to go to for malaysian. Only thing is that you need to book

Mixed entree $15 freezer to fryer…not worth it. The Roti was freezer to fryer also, it was only good as the curry sauce saved it. Beef rendang lacked depth and flavor, the sweet & sour pork was good……the highlight was the XO chicken. I will be back for that! If I had just ordered the XO chicken, I would have given a 5……the other dishes pulled the score down. Hosts are great, atmosphere is cool….I do recommend trying Bunga Raya….it came close to the meals we ate in KL. Enjoy!

I was really excited to try out this place, but sadly it did not meet my expectations. The staff is friendly, however, I only want to comment on the food as it wasn’t served temperature hot or even warm. The food arrived within 2-3 mins of placing the order and to our disappointment it wasn’t fresh. The chicken in particular was very tough, possibly refried. We left most of the food on the plate and and it felt like we were overcharged. I definitely won’t take a chance coming back.

It was an experience! We decided to go to Bunga Raya restaurant for dinner and it was best decision of the day! Welcoming, kind, funny, super positive and energetic owner helped us to choose meals. Service was super quick and I couldn't stop eating! We planned to take leftovers home, but at the end of dinner our table was empty. Highly recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back! Parking: I parked at New Lynn mall as it has six EV free chargers

I have been to Bunga Raya a few times and never once I would give less than 5 stars! The service is amazing always warm and welcoming, loves auntie Rita's energy! Food were delicious, my favourite among the homemade tofu, butter prawn, and xo squid, and hainan chicken, oh well maybe everything in the menu really is delicious. The serving size is also quite big so always bring more people with you or your own takeaway containers you will need it! Really good place for catch up and we glad we chose Bunga Raya for the first lunch out after 108 days.

Some of the better Malaysian food in Auckland, highly recommended. The owners are so friendly and provide great service which adds to the whole experience. My favourite is the Char Koay Teow but everything is pretty good.

For sure, one of Auckland’s best Malaysian restaurants. More reflective of Malaysian Chinese food, given the availability of pork and certain dishes on offer. Go for the XO Squid and Oatmeal Shrimp. Don’t like seafood? Then their Beef Rendang is excellent.

First time there! The food was authentic! Service was great and the owners is happy to recommend dishes. Big sized servings. 3 dishes was more than enough for a family of 4. We had enough for takeaways too! Thinking about going back again soon!
