Booked it through Booking.com and absolutely loved it! Very clean, spacious and super warm! The pressure in the shower was amazing. There were 5 of us and we could all comfortably fit in the apartment. Only downside was being on the far end and having to carry all our stuff there as we have a lot of things, did wish there was baggage trolley.nnThe staff were very kind and friendly. Loved our stay here and will be booking again in the future.
I chose this motel because it has a late check in, is not too far from Wellington and had decent reviews. The room was cold. Luckily there were heaters i could put on, and an electric blanket. The manager was friendly and provided milk for the tea. The bed was comfy, but the decor definitely needs updating. The carpet was either stained, or had a bad clean up job. The can of flea spray in the not very appealing cupboard put me off unpacking. The trains do run at the back, but actually i only heard them if i was awake. I guess it is good value for money. I managed to sleep well, once i had warmed up.
The host went out of his way to accommodate me. My fury crossing from Picton had been delayed and it was a freezing a night when I got to Wellington at some ungodly hour in the morning. I was so grateful that her had been given a unit which was close to the entrance and car park and the unit was warm, with the electric blanket switched on when I got there at 3:30 am. I will definitely be using this establishment again.
A lovely, handy location and a neat old school lodge with decent sized units, the bed was comfy enough.nSadly it looked like the cleaner can't see below thier knees and the floor was filthy, as we had a crawling baby this made it not such good time. I would of given it a 5 star experience otherwise. Handy to a beautiful park and shops, lovely service. But sadly cleanliness makes or breaks a stay. If you can look past that its a great wee place.
Lovely stay and the owner is very very kind. Spacious and comfortable with kitchenette, desk, and lounge area. Very clean and the water pressure was great! Our room was lovely and warm, a nice welcome after a full day of driving.nnI’ve stayed at many motels across New Zealand and I really liked this one the most, it had good calm energy. It was tucked away and felt nice and cosy. Yes, there’s a train but I didn’t mind it as I knew what I was getting myself into.
