Awful, Evil placenMy grandmother was here for just a month. Unfortunately the lack of care here by the management and carers contributed to her death.nPlease do not send your loved one here. In the short amount of time my grandmother was here, several residents spoke about how awful it was to be there, one even suggested going to the newspaper to report them.
Bainswood staff are very helpful and really do provide great care to the elderly in the rest home. There are activities group outings and for game evenings. The food is very good and family members can join the person staying in Bainswood for tea at a very reasonable low price.nThe rooms are clean, nice and well serviced. Be reassured if there is an emergency help is on hand very quickly. There is good parking onsite also.
I can’t express more admiration and gratitude that I hold for the management and staff with only 5 stars.nI can though highly recommend Bainswood on Victoria in Rangiora to any one making the significant decision on accommodation of a loved one.nMany thanks to you allnnRoss Family
Not my favorite rest home. My father spent 2wks there for respite care. We specified that dad needed regular toileting as he is incontinant. That didn't happen and I often found dad with wet pants. Also his oncontinant products regularly went missing used on other clients as pads are under lock and key and any xtras are not avail to carers. I found that out from dad who had to watch as they helped themselves to not only pass but his grapes, his lollies. Not on staff!!!
Very nice place to live but you need your own phone line in your room as its very hard to reach your loved ones to talk to them, staff do not answer the main phone.
