Avenue Heights Motel

For the price it is good value. Clean and modern with a small pool. Hosts are attentive and friendly. There is some traffic noise from the relatively busy road outside but very tolerable.

We travelled to Whangarei from Russell as our daughter was unwell. While I was at the hospital with her my husband booked into this motel. It transpired that our daughter needed to go urgently to Starship Hospital. When my husband went back to collect our belongings and advise that we were leaving a refund on compassionate grounds was refused. I will never recommend this as a place to stay. We would’ve happily paid for the room to be cleaned.

We arrived late at night at the motel. However the reception was open to accommodate us. First impression, reasonable price for a neat, clean and tidy room.Rooms: 5/5

Cute little motel. Owners are nice. Wifi is very fast - best I've seen while I've been in NZ for nearly two weeks.
