We were so pleased and happy we chose their apartment in Queenstown for our holiday. Everything we need was already in there. Location was perfect! The place was immaculate and fully equipped. Will definitely book them again and recommend. Also, Julie was so lovely and excellent with the communication. Definitely 5 stars for everything.
A long awaited trip away with the family was made exponentially better by Julie and the team at Aura Queenstown. With fluid correspondence from Julie prior to arrival and wonderful amenities awaiting us at our paradise away from home, the experience was one we'll never forget. If you're looking for somewhere lovely to stay in Queenstown, please make sure that Aura Queenstown is your first port of call. Many, many thanks.. Sebastian. Rooms: Spacious, clean and well appointed. Views are beautiful from the Tahuna Lake Front Apartment. Travellers and guests will want for nothing while staying with Aura Nearby activities: Everything is a literal hop, skip and a jump away. Walkability: Town is only a 4 minute walk from the Tahuna Lake Front Apartment. Meaning everything is close and easily accessible via foot.
Very happy to recommend Aura. We stayed in an immaculately presented property outside Queenstown, and felt very well looked after. Julie was very helpful, accommodating, and excellent at follow-up. Check-in and check-out made very simple, and a terrific property. 5 stars.
A group of 10 booked a holiday house that suited our needs - housed our group, had a spa, specific location totalling $8,350. As Covid hit, our travel plans were postponed and Julie offered to re book us in the house for a later date or give us credits on our accomodation. As the future was uncertain we took the travel voucher. Once it was time to re book I continuously asked Julie to let me know when the house would become available to rent again and to my surprise Julie informed us that the house had been sold and that we would have to book into another one of her properties. This would have been fine but all of the other available homes didn’t house more than 4 people, had none of the ammenities that we had paid through the roof for, were completely random dates available and were in completely different locations - obviously not suitable for a party of 10 people. This is where things became horrible for myself and my group. Julie took a ‘too bad so sad’ attitude saying that she would offer no refund at all, not even a partial one even though she was no longer providing the service that was paid for. I spent countless hours on the phone to NZ consumer affairs who assured me that what Julie was doing was completely unethical which I pointed out to Julie and showed her all the relevant online legislation, again which she cared little about. She then threatened to take legal action against us for writing a review which stated the honest truth that we had now lost thousands of dollars and that Julie rebooked the house for some of our dates. On top of this, Julie urged us repeatedly to cancel our booking so that she could re book the house which she was able to do for some of our dates so she had made double her money there. To which she in writing offered to refund us, then changed her mind and said that she didn’t have to anymore. This went on for over a year, back and forth emails with Julie swinging from anger to emotional blackmail trying to say how much her and her home owners had suffered financially from Covid, like we all haven’t. Full disclosure, Julie in the end refunded us around $2,000 to be split between the 10 of us, which was purely the extra money she made for renting out the house for our dates, hardly a kindness. I unfortunately can’t speak for the kind of homes she represents but this has easily been one of the worst experiences of my life and caused the most emotional stress while trying to plan a holiday. Thanks for ruining Queenstown as one of my favourite holiday destinations Julie.
We recently stayed at the Travellers Oasis in Queenstown. It was everything we could have asked for! Cleanliness, lovely view, enough room and privacy for 2 couples, fire, facilities for cooking and a short distance to town. The ease of checking in was also a bonus after a long day travelling. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Great location, easy short walk to town centre. Appreciated the range of board games for the kids and the gas fire/heaters kept us toasty warm. We stayed for 5 nights with our 5 and 2 year olds - the kitchen was well equipped with all we needed. Three bathrooms was ample for us and the bedrooms all good sizes. Would love to have used the deck area but it was a little chilly and wet - we enjoyed our wine from the inside looking out at the mountains!
Aura and Julie are the ALL BLACKS OF holiday rental. Our holiday was cancelled due to covid lockdown in melbourne but Julie was happy to rebook us for the following ski season.Accomodation was perfect but Julie was the best.I love NZ and thats saying something as a Aussie :
