I am giving Element Escapes the property managers one star because of the maintenance issues we encountered at the property from the very start of our 3 night stay. On arrival we noticed the following items and immediately reported them to Element Escapes. 1 The TV in the main bedroom did not function correctly and the front of the set top box had been lowered and its insides were on display, TV replaced late afternoon on the third night 2 There was a puddle of water in the laundry, next to the washing machine. We also saw that the air conditioning vent in the living area was secured at the top with masking tape. After the second night we woke to find a pool of water across the corridor outside the laundry, the sole access from the main bedroom to the living area. A plumber was sent that day and he told us that the source of the leak was waste water from the apartment above. As the plumber was unable to gain access to the above apartment the issue could not be resolved until the following day after we left. He also mentioned mould in the ceiling and we all noted the swelling in the cabinetry in the laundry area from water damage. Finally the front of the washing machine soap container came off in our hands. Due to this experience we will not be staying in another property managed by Element Escapes, nor will we be recommending them to our friends or acquaintances. Note that this was booked in my partner's name Forbes and we both stayed there.
Clean, comfortable and tidy room gives way to high guest chore expectations, hidden fees and broken appliances. I stayed in a room here this Spring and was expected to take the trash out and start the dishwasher upon completion of my stay. When paying over $4,000 for a room and staying in a property of this calibre, it is expected that this would be done by the housekeeper. I did these chores however it left a bad taste in my mouth when I was charged approximately $150 more than the agreed amount due to “credit card fees” that were not outlined in the original agreed quote. It was also quite easy to run out of hot water multiple times. The dishwasher did not seal properly, the washing machine and dryer were also quite rusty. It is worth it to stay here, just measure your expectations on arrival.
Recently stayed here had numerous issues with the room plus reception department. Location was not as close to town as they originally said. Our toilet was constantly leaking water all night. Main window didn’t have a curtain to block out street lights at night. Only 1 key card worked from day 1 . Room had limited items, the “double bed” was only 2 singles pushed together , they don’t have a proper reception front desk area or phone in the room so to pay our bill we had to walk to another hotel 10 mins down the road where the “reception area” was actually . I emailed weeks before to ask for early check in and never helped with this issue , for the people who actually got a “view room” only saw a construction site at the front. If anyone is looking to find somewhere to stay in Queenstown I do not recommend this place, as our first time visiting here I definitely regret staying here and was told wrong information when booking and it would of been better to pay and extra $100 a night to stay closer and well managed and professional apartment !
Such a nice and safe place. Good view of the lake, you will love it if you are on a honey moon. Got a jogging track along the backside of the hotel. Nice if you love photography. comes with 24 hours free internet. You will love the kitchen if you are a foodie or a person who loves cooking.
Best hotel/apartment I have ever been to. Stunning view and luxury feel! Absolutely amazing :D
