Auckland Fish Market

Visited Saturday. Not many stalls opened.nHad great fish and chips and some great smoked salmon. There are good restaurants in the area.

It's not quite the fish market you'd expect, with fresh fish and chips, sashimi, or oysters on hand. Instead, it’s just a few shops selling raw fish and frozen scampi. The selection of oysters was limited, and compared to Sydney, the prices were shocking—48 NZD for a dozen! I thought Sydney's prices were steep, but this place in Auckland takes it to another level. That said, the atmosphere in the courtyard was fantastic.

We got the lobster fried rice from Bang Bang Kitchen and a snapper from the other store. Food was great! Come here slightly before lunch to get comfortable. It was quite busy at 12pm on a Monday.

A really nice place to get fresh fish/way, just be careful because the birds will come and steal your food if your not being to careful. The seagulls are also very loud sometimes but it's part of the experience
