Auckland Botanic Gardens Parking

Botanical gardens is one of the major attractions in South Auckland. It is such a calm and peaceful place. I can spend hours here. In today’s hustle and bustle this is a boon.nPlenty of areas for kids and adults. I particularly like rose garden. There is specific area for dogs without leash.nPerfect place for your morning or evening walk. It is very well maintained.nThere is plenty of parking available. Entrance is from multiple locations. Most of all no charges to go to the garden. It’s always busy with people having pictures or picnics. A must visit.

Have been here many times over the years. This latest visit was somewhat disappointing. Maybe it's to do with staffing cutbacks or operating costs but some of the plants and gardens looked neglected & being taken over by weeds. Also a lack of plant names was evident. In all fairness some plants looked a bit sick after coming out of the winter period.

It is very clean and organized. The flowers smell amazing.
