4 cheese pizza was packed with quality cheese and the crudités was also very good. Service was excellent. Great vibe and popular with after work crowd.Food: 5/5
Excellent service and coffee. The full breakfast comes with top notch house made baked beans and a truly delicious sausage; my chief complaint is that there wasn't more sausages! The bacon is meat but a little dry, and the eggs need a touch longer in my opinion, but I greatly recommend this place.
A comfy location, plenty of room inside. One male staff member seemed rather solemn. Pricing seemed reasonable we bought 2 Astoria Breakfasts, 2 hot drinks and a fluffy at $58.00. Food was decent, bacon was overcooked however. Eggs were poached and perfect.
Great atmosphere, food and coffee were great. Close too town centre and shopping.
Coffee was 'ok', eggs benedict was very bland and the rocket on top was not a nice garnish too peppery. The granola was a generous bowl and yummy, but only came with a small jug of milk and one tablespoon of yoghurt. The cafe itself is very old and tired.
Service was good, place is cute. Flat white was terrible and the smashed avo toast had pre-made avocado smash from a food industry bag. It looked lovely but tasted like food processor green paste.
Well, what I can say.. it was quite disappointing experience for us. Despite many customers in the restaurant, the food was really salty. The poached eggs still contains lots of water. Not really recommended.
Like the previous reviewer, I came here on a wet, Sunday morning. I found the set up confusing. We waited by a sign that said “please wait here to be seated” for about 2 minutes, while numerous staff wandered round and ignored us completely. We worked out we should just sit down but it wasn’t clear if it was table service or not. Totally ignored by the numerous staff, even though they were walking around, supposedly serving tables, and even though some were just standing with their backs on a wall waiting. Eventually worked out you needed to go to counter by seeing what other people were doing. Food was ok, great scrambled eggs, but look at the pic... are they hash potatoes? No. So call them something else on your menu. And the waiter spilled the coffee into the saucer as he was serving it but never apologised or grabbed a napkin to clear up. Had to work out that if I wanted water or butter I had to go up to the waiters’ service area and grab it myself. Total lack of any care or feeling of welcome by any staff member. One young waiter in particular looked so utterly miserable to be there that we wondered if she was working there against her will. Wouldn’t bother returning.
What I’ve always liked about Wellington it’s the predominant young vibe found easily and with little effort. That’s so very welcomed on a lazy Sunday morning. That’s the type of vibe you’ll find here; a busy and popular but yet relaxed spot. The food options are simple but variety is good and tasty enough for a good rating.
