I’ve had average coffee and average food here before, but I believe in second chances and giving businesses the opportunity to redeem themselves… an opportunity the Columbus did not take. My previous experiences were reinforced today with watery unseasoned eggs, unbuttered and charred toast, and bitter over-roasted coffee. I will compliment them on a nice environment, diligent cleaning and friendly staff. It’s just a shame that their product lets them down.
Should be 3.5 stars. Located in the centre of the Wellington shopping district it's a small single floor premises on the ground floor. A small kitchen produces breakfast / brunch type meals. A barista has coffee on hand. No parking or toilets lets it down. Tried to get the free wifi but my French waitress was.not adept at English.and could.not explain the complicated manner to logon via the company's website.
Ignore the corporate look, this branch is a step ahead of most. Lovely attitude of the staff and who wouldn't want a cup delivered like this? Quick update: today's swan was even better!
Good coffee. Nice staff. Missing wifi. Clean environment
not great value for money. burger was nice. but luckly to get 10 chips with it. staff nice
Terrible but the only place that was open 8am on a Saturday morning. Whipped cream was splitting and old, caramelised bananas tasted and smelled like actual vomit, eggs which I asked to be well done because I am pregnant were running all over the plate and the coffee was burnt as hell Very friendly though but yikes I wasted my one coffee a day
Good coffee so far the only café with power points on the wall! So useful for guests who may need to charge for their phones. When borders are open the tourists will love it!
Advised about a 20 minute wait after ordering and purchasing the food. The food was then about 40 minutes. We were promoted with a "that's the one with avocado yes", which was actually an optional add on for $6.50, adding more then half the price of the original meal. Had a cinnamon brioche bun that was under-cooked and tasted of yeast/alcohol. This was sent back but got mild apology from the waitress but no further communication or refund offered. Service was uninterested. Great location in town, really hope they do better in the future : not bad coffee though
Breakfast food was great but concerned one of the male staff was coughing a lot, not wearing a mask and barely covering his mouth when coughing! Not at all good when Wellington is Level 2. He was making and delivering coffees etc
What a joke today went in for breakfast . Staff polite asked us to take a seat then ignore us other people came in seated menus etc us still waiting several minutes later more customers seated menus etc . We where totally ignore . Ranked up there worse service ever..
