Amazing staff! This hostel has a great friendly atmosphere. I felt right at home.

Pros: Friendly hosts tidy comfortable rooms very close to main town and site seeing areas, free to do your own thing within reason. Cons: no free parking until after 5pm and nothing very close that unless you can snag the carpark in the front of backpackers. 9/10 great place

Nice old schoolish backpackers, Clean rooms, and situated in the middle of town. Good customer service and inexpensive at the time I went there..

Really great spot if you are arriving in New Plymouth by bus. Located directly opposite library and museum. Surrounded by cafes and bars. One block to beach and also a short walk the famous Len Lye art galleryreally worth a visit. View from my window at night below

The location is good, but because of the bar on the 1st floor you cannot fall asleep!
