If you'e wanting to treat yourself to a decent steak, this is the place for you! The cocktails, sides, appetizers and desserts also didn't disappoint. If you don't feel like sitting in the main restaurant you can go to the back and sit near the bar for a more low-key vibe. The service was exceptional, especially in terms of education about the right kind of steak to choose based on your preferences. The steaks are on display for reference. The staff was friendly & kind and that also made for a good experience! I highly recommend getting a Tomahawk cut if you feel like going all out!
Tonight we had the pleasure of dining here. Our group of friends love steak and have been to many of the popular steakhouse-type restaurants in Auckland and the food and service here is among the best. The chef came to our table to carve our shared steak which was cooked to perfection and this was a lovely touch. The cocktails and mocktails were delicious. Our server sorry didn't catch his name was polite, friendly and funny. He made our experience even better.
The food was okay/good and the staffs were very friendly! It is our first time to visit the restaurant. We wish we have been offered the choice of the beach side or the road side.
Meant to be a 2.5 stars but since it doesn't have the option I just rounded up to 3. Some good and some bad, here is the breakdown: Good: presentation and taste wise, go for the warm garden salad, lamb ribs and service. The side salads were good too. Bad: beef tartar is more like chip tartar with a pile of wet mince - no sign of hand diced steak and yolk all mixed in beforehand; the happy hour oysters are at an unknown availability so we got told - shouldn't be this be listed as a fine print subject to availability if you are advertising it as a special?!
Great place for dinner. Huge variety of stakes, I love their seafood chowder. Went on our marriage anniversary there.
Delicious food. Was there for a work event. Highly recommend the lamb rib starters. Steak main was perfectly cooked and greens were well seasoned. Table was missing my water glass and took a while to be acknowledged by want staff. But generally attentive staff.Food: 5/5
Had lovely lunch here today. Excellent food and good service
I was very disappointed yesterday with my black angus sirloin steak, which was a huge surprise, as this place is advertised as a steak specialist. At $47 for the steak, a few potatoes, and one small tomato, it should have been fantastic. The plate was very underwhelming visually, and the steak in texture. Almost half was gristle. They did to their credit reduce the price of my dish, but as I was not paying the bill, it did diminish my experience greatly. I have had better steaks at home Something green on the plate to accompany would have also been nice to see
Amazing aged beef, juicy and tender, you will never have enough. Best steakhouse in north shore Entree raw beef is very nice, worth a try!
I have been wanting to try this place since it opened but never had a chance till my birthday ended up being the perfect excuse to go, so we ventured out almost 47km and it was totally worth the drive! My husband and I were quite tired and wanted a coffee for a quick pick-me-up but didn't want a coffee because we'd be bloated and would have wasted diving all the way out. There were no. Espresso martinis on the menu so we asked and they said they could do it for us, our lovely waitress told us that her mum raves about how good they are so we tried them and we both wished we didn't have to drive because they are by far one of the best espresso martinis in Auckland! So incredibly delicious. We got the mushroom arancini and they were a euphoric taste explosion encased in a slightly crispy shell. We don't usually order the same thing at restaurants but this was an exception as we both wanted to try the NZ Wagyu. The best steak I've ever had in my life was in Japan. The second best steak I've ever had in my life was this piece of meat right here - a very slight crispness on the outer edges of the steak, the high grade marbling of this specific cut allowed for the flavours and juiciness to just explode in your mouth with every tender bite. We ordered a side salad and fries and we nearly didn't touch the fries because we over ordered but got it in a takeaway box- blame it on the hungry eyes. I wanted the creme brulee for dessert and got surprised with this "Happy Birthday" creation, again, the flavours are just amazing, those little green matcha cookies were such a beautiful taste and texture to contrast the silky creme brulee. It's probably a good thing we live so far from it or. I'd be dining here every night! 21 Days, you've easily become one of my top favourite restaurants in New Zealand.
