Zambrero-Melbourne

Arguably the best mexican food in Melbourne, at least in the realm of fast food. Loved the pulled pork bowl. Great selection of toppings. Nice staff.

Favorite restaurant on campus. But today I received a burrito that was much smaller than usual. I ordered the same regular burrito as the lady before me. Less lettuce, less tomato, and less corn. Compared to the other one they made, my burrito looked shorter and thinner. The staff showed no intention to add more lettuce or vegetables. Please don't treat your consumers differently and serve salads generously. Tomatoes are my favorite thing in a burrito, not happy to receive only a few of them.

The dude serving has been quite transparent telling everyone the power buritto cost more because it's more meat and not much more volume overall. I appreciate the clarity and disclosure. I would've felt ripped off if I just went for it. Extra happy that I went for the vegetarian option and got 50% more rice and beans. Worth my 12 bucks. Come early for lunch if you can as the queue gets really long at 1pm. Vegetarian options: Get 50% more rice and beans if you choose the vegetarian option. Dietary restrictions: The dude was nice to tell us that you can just get a regular buritto with a gluten free wrap instead of paying more to get the gluten free power buritto.

My partner and I have not been to this Zambrero in 18 months since pre-Covid. We were getting photos taken this Thursday morning and were eagerly awaiting eating delicious Zambrero for the first time in ages. HOWEVER!!! We got here at 10:45 and the Zambrero is NOT OPEN?!?! WHAT!! On the Google Maps it says it opens at 10:30am and now it's 11:15 and we're still here and it's not open! We are very upset all we want is a burrito

Had an amazing experience today. I started a strictly vegan diet that is gluten-free and avoiding basically anything inflammatory. The guys at the desk around 1-2pm were so helpful, I felt like they knew about my diet more than me and helped me choose the right fillings for my likings and preferences, advising me kindly if I was about to choose a sauce that had gluten!!! Such awesome help! Wish every restaurants/takeaway workers were as accomodating as these guys were! Thankyou!

I am a regular here as staff are always friendly and they have delicious vegan options. I love the IQ burrito with Verde sauce as it is filling and has a bit of a kick to it. Definitely recommend to keep you going during uni times! Canteen like decor is cute and provides a friendly and communal atmosphere

I really like Zambrero, they are excellent here, very helpful, friendly, the food is almost always fresh sometimes the tortilla is a little hard. The staff are lovely. Overall, it's a great place to get lunch. It's a bit loud though, and always busy so make sure you order ahead using the online system. Zambrero, in general, is expensive!

Tried this for the first time today - chicken with white rice and beans, with a bit of all toppings and garlic sauce. Quite tasty, very similar in flavours to Guzman y gomez, although portion is smaller. The lady who served me was fast and nice.
