Must try we lived it … thank you team keep doing what you doing !! Nice love the ingredients!! Fresh churosFood: 4/5
The burritos there are delicious, packed full of fillings of lettuce, salsa, cheese, tomato, beans, rice and meat of choice. The chicken was juicy and not fatty which I like, and the flavours blended well together. The fillings are generous and I believe the burrito is slightly cheaper whilst being the same size, than other restaurants so thats a plus too! Service is friendly by the asian lady! Located in the food court of Melbourne Central. The environment seemed relatively clean too.
Used to love their food, but one day I Find a fly in the picture, I told the waitress, she looks like” dont bother “it was gross.
The staff seemed nice and friendly but when I went to buy a large burrito bowl they skimped out on all the ingredients essentially giving me the serving size of a small giving me only one scoop of rice before trying to give me a second but deciding it’s too hard and putting it back, and when it came to the salad and cheese they gave me a pinch of everything while the burrito before me got a mountain of cheese. Highly saddened by this experience when normally it is one of the better ones.
Stopped here for a burrito while in the area. I thought it was quite good for Mexican food outside Mexico/California. I would have liked the salsa to be a bit spicier, but I don't think thats what the locals prefer. If your traveling to Melbourne from California this shop will remind you of food from home. I thought value was quite good considering how much food you got. Thanks!
This place is great. I went for the first time last year at the DFO branch. A solid place, but I don’t think much of it. Later that week, my school brought us to Melbourne central to have lunch. I couldn’t find many familiar places in the area, so I just decided to go to Mad Mex. My friend was hesitant to try it, although he took a shot. I ordered the Tacos with Guacamole, and he ordered the nachos. We were absolutely stunned. The guac and salsa might be some of the best I’ve personally had, and I’ve had tacos in California! We’ve made it a monthly visit, and are going in a few days. Genuinely might be the reason I like Mexican food.
Mexican food. Choice of style, filling and level of spice. I had the naked burrito with beef extra 50 cents and medium spice. They added onion, coriander and jalapeños for no extra charge, but you need to ask for them. Did not go for the guacamole at two dollars extra. Food was fresh and tasty.
I went to mad Mexican yesterday and I was APPALLED by the price. I ordered 3 tacos which should've cost $13, but I soon realised when I got my "meal" that I was charged 40 NOT 14! I am furious.
Food was great, customer service was great also. The employees are always friendly. Sometimes it's a little bit hard to hear them if it's loud in the food court though.Food: 5/5
So very disappointed in the food we had ordered from this place. We ordered the grande melt and cheese quesadillas and our quesadillas had zero cheese inside. We paid for extra cheese which was an additional $2 and there was minimal cheese in the grande melt. The food was not well put together and carelessly thrown together. Very disappointing when you’re spending nearly $50 on food.
