I really appreciated the cleanliness of the hostel, the availability of lockers for my backpack in the room, a comfortable bed, beautiful kitchens, hot water for the showers, and the good layout of the showers with a changing area before the shower. Additionally, there was an affordable laundry facility and excellent customer service. Thank you, YHA Byron Bay, for giving me the best hostel stay of my entire trip in Australia.
Location is pretty good as the staff, super friendly. But man it needs some deep cleaning, we stayed in two different types of rooms and the floors were dirty, the shower walls had mold in it, one had no soap in the sink. The kitchen looks nice with the plants, but we kept smelling trash and I wouldn’t cook much there, the pots and pans looked bad and the sponges to wash the dishes hasn’t been replaced in a long long time.nnMaybe is just us, 35+ backpackers, but if you want a clean hostel go somewhere else.nnI do appreciate they had activities everyday, which is a really nice touch.
The location was lovely, facilities are great, good venue for meeting others in common spaces. Friendly staff too! Slightly disappointed with room: the floor was dirty/gritty and the power point didn’t work. But otherwise a good stay!
room was okay, not very soundproof but luckily people living next door stopped making noise before midnight; customer service was useless, called 2 times and still didn’t receive any late check in instructions and luckily the property manager there was nice and helped out. so good luck if you are not a fan of youth hostel.
One of the best hostel I’ve been to. The staff is really sweet and helpful. The pool and the kitchen are surrounded by plants is really nice. I really enjoyed the fact the room had curtains for each bed which really gives a privacy feeling even though you’re sleeping in a dorm.
