Visited other stores earlier in the day and just found this store in the afternoon. Was thinking it is the same store but it is different access of entrance. Interestingly, they have two stores in the city center. The other one is not very far from here and it is still walking distance.nnIt is located near the end of Murray street mall. Murray street is a must place to visit. It is a shopping center street. Many branded stores are here. It is a tourism area.nnInterestingly few items in this store are having a discount while the other same brand store don't offer any discounts for the same product. I thought it is common that the same brand of store will offer the same pricing or same discount on the same product, but in turned out that os not the case here.nnIt is quite a nice supermarket, and the service is also good.
I had a very unpleasant experience at this store today.nI approached a Black female staff member wearing glasses to point out that the product price did not match the display label and asked for her assistance. As I was in a hurry, I specifically told her I needed the matter handled quickly. She then walked away, and I went back to take a photo of the displayed price to prove I was correct.nnWhen I returned to the counter and showed her the photo, instead of focusing on resolving the issue, she told me I “had an attitude.” I explained again that I was really pressed for time, but she replied, “Everyone is in a hurry.” I told her my bus was about to leave and the matter was urgent, yet she continued to argue and offered no help.nnThroughout the entire interaction, I felt disrespected and treated unfairly. It even made me question whether her attitude towards me had anything to do with my identity, appearance, or background. As a customer, I only wanted the issue resolved quickly and professionally, but instead, I received this kind of response. This experience has made me decide never to return to this store, and I sincerely hope management will address the staff’s attitude and customer service standards.
I had an unexpected mishap at the checkout when the handle of my shopping bag broke, causing my milk bottle to spill everywhere and my egg tray to break open. It was quite a mess, but the kind lady at the checkout an Asian staff member, though I didn’t get her name immediately stepped in to help.nnShe patiently helped clean everything up and even replaced both the milk and eggs without any hesitation. Her calm, understanding, and genuinely caring attitude turned what could have been a frustrating moment into a really heartwarming experience.nnSuch acts of kindness truly stand out, thank you for going above and beyond!!
Most expensive Woolies anywhere. I won't be back to the Murray Street store. Nescafe Smooth & Creamy Coffee here costs $23 a jar, but in Woolies Belmont Forum just $16 a jar. Belmont has more sales. In Murray Street, it's a very poor selection at the deli for sliced cold smoked meats. Lousy cakes sold here too. Mostly packaged on shelves. They run out of everything here by 4pm. Most expensive groceries I've ever seen. Why should they be charging more just bcz they're in Perth cbd? I will stick to suburban shopping plazas, thanks.
The store is in a convenient location and generally well stocked, but there are often no trolleys available which makes shopping really difficult, especially if you’re buying more than just a few items. Staff are friendly and helpful.
