Visited other stores earlier in the day and just found this store in the afternoon. Was thinking it is the same store but it is different access of entrance. Interestingly, they have two stores in the city center. The other one is not very far from here and it is still walking distance.nnIt is located near the end of Murray street mall. Murray street is a must place to visit. It is a shopping center street. Many branded stores are here. It is a tourism area.nnInterestingly few items in this store are having a discount while the other same brand store don't offer any discounts for the same product. I thought it is common that the same brand of store will offer the same pricing or same discount on the same product, but in turned out that os not the case here.nnIt is quite a nice supermarket, and the service is also good.
I had a very unpleasant experience at this store today.nI approached a Black female staff member wearing glasses to point out that the product price did not match the display label and asked for her assistance. As I was in a hurry, I specifically told her I needed the matter handled quickly. She then walked away, and I went back to take a photo of the displayed price to prove I was correct.nnWhen I returned to the counter and showed her the photo, instead of focusing on resolving the issue, she told me I “had an attitude.” I explained again that I was really pressed for time, but she replied, “Everyone is in a hurry.” I told her my bus was about to leave and the matter was urgent, yet she continued to argue and offered no help.nnThroughout the entire interaction, I felt disrespected and treated unfairly. It even made me question whether her attitude towards me had anything to do with my identity, appearance, or background. As a customer, I only wanted the issue resolved quickly and professionally, but instead, I received this kind of response. This experience has made me decide never to return to this store, and I sincerely hope management will address the staff’s attitude and customer service standards.
Good place to buy groceries. But i Avoid going at night time as some of the staff members are literally standing in middle of the aisle blocking the way while working. I understand they are working but plz be mindful of your surroundings.
I have been shopping at the Murray Street branch of Woolworths since 2012, and the already superb service keeps getting even better. The layout is excellent and user friendly. The deli section is staffed by courteous and very helpful staff, providing customers with the very best foodstuff at affordable prices such as yummy middle bacon and prawns. An exceptional practice in this branch is real daily discounts, especially half price discounts which are clearly displayed, and the management regularly announces other steep discounts for customers benefit. Operationally, in terms of layout, user friendliness and customer service by all staff, the Murray Street Woolies branch is consistently excellent!
Team members at the counter was absolutely wonderful. She assisted me with the charging goods in the cabinet and I wish I could remember her name, she was wearing a tag, I was just too distracted to pay attention. The layout of the store is stupidly confusing but believe it or not, from a head office point of view, that's exactly what woolies wants.nTidiness was dreadful due to the extreme business of the store. That nightfall team there must be run off its feet getting loads done because they cant breathe with the amount of customers in there. I would've hated working here when I was in retail cause you just know they aren't getting the budget they need.
