Luxurious perfection! My partner and I stayed here last week as part of our honeymoon and it was everything we hoped for! The location is absolutely stunning - the mountains, wildlife and seclusion of the valley was breathtaking. We loved walking and cycling around. Our room was beautiful. We loved the private heated pool, big bath, big comfy bed and fireplace. It was spotlessly cleaned and serviced every day and the little touches like bath salts and evening turn down service made it extra special. The food menu was incredible, especially the dinner menu in the restaurant! Breakfast, lunch and room service were all great too, and the drinks. We also really appreciated the arrival drinks in celebration of our wedding/honeymoon, the house sparking rose is devine : Every single member of the team who we interacted with was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable including restaurant, bar, guest services, reception, room service, management, they have created such a warm and welcoming environment for guests. All in all, we loved our stay and would highly recommend :
Took my wife here for a special anniversary- the service from start to finish was exemplary. From a freshly lit fire to warm the villa, to regular room turn downs and a constantly topped up mini bar as well as fantastic food & wine in the restaurants- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We also loved our attached pool although the water would be better heated. Our only other gripe was that the provider activities could be better value for money…Otherwise fabulous!
A mystique getaway and stunning location for a holiday. The accommodation was perfect. I travelled with a friend and two little girls, and we all had the best time. To all the staff at Wolgan Valley, we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left, which made our stay a beautiful experience, especially with the little ones. The food was divine, with so much to explore, see and wonder about in relaxation. The facilities, service, food, adventures, views and, most of all, the staff were perfect. We couldn't have been more accommodated. Wolgan Valley was a One&Only holiday experience far exceeding all expectations. At every turn, we were delighted with the friendly customer service, always greeted with a smile, and they spoiled us in every way from start to finish. A special Thank You to Kali from guest services for accommodating us at every turn. Your assistance was much appreciated. Sarah :-
Simply perfect We travelled Australia for 5 weeks with our 2 Kids 9 & 10 years old coming from Europe. Our stay at Wolgan Valley was perfect and by far the best during our stay in Australia. The stuff, the food, the villa, the horses, the activities… we simply loved it all. Of course, the Kangaroo and Wombats were our absolute highlight. Thank you for the best 3 nights. I would love to come back. This is paradise
We have stayed at Emirates One and Only Wolgan Valley twice. On both occasions we found it to be a lovely experience, and the rooms to be incredibly luxurious, comfortable and well appointed. The spa treatment was one of the best I have ever had. The particularly enjoyed the 4WD tour of the vast property and discovered some of the unique wildlife and flora of the area. The walking-and-bike trails around the property were great to explore on our own too. The only reason for the 4 star review was on the second occasion, when we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday, the service was below expectations in comparison to the first visit. Despite this, Emirates Wolgan Valley remains a stunning property for couples and families.
It’s hard to know where to start with describing our experience at Wolgan Valley. We booked a three night stay in August 2022 for our 10 year wedding anniversary and admittedly did hesitate prior to booking after reading a few not so great recent reviews. With a premium rate comes premium expectations. From the moment we set foot on the property, to the moment our tyres crossed the gate when leaving, we were immersed in the experience that is, One and Only Wolgan Valley. Admittedly, the villas do need a little renovation but they are well and truly under way so that’s obviously nothing new to them. But for the lack of fashionable paint colours in the villa, was made up in every other way possible. Firstly, the housekeeping team. Just wow. The speediness of their service multiple times through the day blew me away everyday. The meals. For an all inclusive package, our expectations were exceeded every meal. We aren’t huge breakfast eaters but breakfast overlooking the valley with the fire behind us watching the kangaroos was honestly a highlight each day. The staff felt more like friends by the end of the three days and if you dare lifted a finger to get anything yourself felt like you were doing them a disservice. Joe, Holly and especially Stella- you all were absolute standouts and made our experience at every meal so much fun! THANK YOU for accommodating our alternate requests and laughing along the way with us! ‘Sneaky’ the mixologist created some of the most magical cocktails and our only regret was that we couldn’t try them all but we did make a good dent in the menu!! Do order the Wollemi Mist for an experience like no other and their version of the Espresso Martini hit the spot each afternoon : The activities and retail staff; Nick, Liz, Katie, Angelina THANK YOU for providing us with some magical memories and laughs during our stay. Each one of you played such a wonderful role in our time there! The front of house / porter / buggy team- your friendliness, willingness to help, happy smiles and fun conversations made for such a memorable experiences each and every day. I suppose the moral of this review, is to not think twice about booking like we did. You will have the most wonderful time to decompress and reconnect with your loved ones. To soak up the beauty that is the Australian countryside. To enjoy glorious meals and to explore the valley on foot, bike or horse. Your only regret is that you can’t stay longer!
We stayed at Villa 36 for two nights for our honey moon in early June 2022. Overall the experience was mediocre, which at this extraordinary price point was quite disappointing. There are some decent and nice part of the experience and there are some average parts. We found that it was not really worth the effort and money for the luxury we expected. What we loved: - We received plenty of communications and instructions prior to arrival which were very helpful. The staff was also helpful, polite, knowledgeable and efficient over the phone when I called to arrange activities. - The view from the property was astonishing. - The lobby and main restaurant areas were well designed and maintained. The ambience was top notch. - The food was remarkable. Having tried most restaurants with hats in Sydney, I believe your restaurant deserves to be featured. - The signature horse ride experience was phenomenal. It was no doubt the best way to explore the scenic valley. - The bath salt was lovely. What we did not love: - The hardwares are not well maintained. Just a name a few: tiles obviously missing from the pool, broken and old bicycle helmet, one of our bicycles was broken, very very very worn down and old looking umbrella, windows joints and locks were broken or stiff, the gas fire place was still switching itself off after getting attended a few times by your staff, the stream room was out of order, the sauna water bowl and spoon were broken, the spa was not turning on etc - Housekeeping service was under average, to a point I was worried about general hygiene. To name a few issues: the semi-outdoor area next to the pool was dusty with noticeable spider webs, pool windows were not clean, I found a piece of fake lady nail on the sofa, rubbish not removed from room during turn-down service, room service food was moved to door front but not removed overnight etc - Phone not attended time to time. There was a time we had to walk up to the restaurant as we could not get hold to sometime to pick us up. - Staff are very friendly but not well-trained/experienced/coordinating well enough. Service was polite but not efficient, and there were hardly any details in the service. To name a few: we had to chase up our welcome drink order twice shouldn’t they be ready when we walk in? and waited a good 10-15 mins before they arrived, missed drink orders every meal to be fair we did have 4 people, milk and sugar not accompanied with coffee & tea orders, spoons not served with soups, our coats not taken care of when entering the restaurants etc For $3000 a night and what is meant to be the most luxurious place to stay in Australia, I don't think the overall experience met my expectation. There are way too many noticeable gaps in the service and hardware. I cannot justify the effort and cost for visiting. I appreciate the staff members I encountered and I do think they tried their best but I think there are more that management will need to address. I emailed one and only about 4 weeks ago regarding the feedback above. I was hoping for some kind of response to the issue brought up. Yet I still have not heard back as of today, which just further disappointed the overall experience.
Stayed in room 32. Have to say for the price and rating of this resort i expected nothing short of great service , excellent food and so forth. Upon arrival first thing mentioned was an apology for construction noise around our villa. Not a good start. However none of that was experienced. I almost stuck a screw in my foot walking in the bathroom upon our first night, luckily i stepped on it and didnt end up with serious injury. The next day my 3 year old stepped onto another and luckily again no serious injury. The next day we had our sign on door for clean etc however it wasnt cleaned until after 3pm only after i complained to staff about it. The fridge wasnt even restocked with snacks aswell which was disappointing. The food in restaurant was very average. I expected more seafood and high quality meals only to be dealt meals that were small portioned and like eating at a pub. Id ring reception for a shuttle lift to the main room for lunch/dinner only for nobody to pick up. At night we couldn’t even see where we were walking and had to use torch on our phones due to how dark it was. Wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. Looks like they just want to turnover guests in/out and not give us the experienced we paid alot of $$$ for.
This was our 4th time staying at Emirates Wolgan Valley. Once again, we were treated to a fantastic, amazing holiday over Christmas. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the activities Horse riding, tree planting, archery, night wildlife tour etc. We had a wonderful time together as a family bike riding around the location over the 5 days we were here. The staff were attentive and no request was too difficult. I have to say that the food has definitely leveled up since our previous visit 3 years ago with the revamp with Bentley Dining. Christmas Day lunch and Boxing Day BBQ lunch were a definite highlight. Some improvements can be made with the consistency and level of housekeeping. Pool cleaning during changeovers is a necessity these days for hygiene as well. Thank you once again for a memorable experience for our family.
When we surrendered ourselves to the fact that in the current climate, large gatherings and international visitors may not be an option, we opted for a private intimate wedding with no guests. As residents of the Blue Mountains, the Emirates One & Only was in our backyard and seemed like a fantastic option. We were not disappointed. We expected something special and we got just that. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after. Every aspect of our experience was unique and made our special day worth it. We wanted a relaxed, intimate wedding experience and we got just that. Our room was classy, the indoor pool was not a gimmick and often used. The food, simply divine… slowing down to savour ever bite. The in-house gin made from local waters… the gin and tonic, you’ll want again after you’ve left. The staff, went above and beyond, friendly, accomodating… helping with wedding pictures where possible and other little things that happen when you get married… little things to make our already stress free experience better. Ilia, our events manager, was there for us from the moment we arrived. We opted for a horse ride as part of our package, this did not disappoint. Our capable guide Mel as the lead, we navigated one of the widest canyons in the world. A natural gem. The Emirates brand is synonymous with unique luxury experiences and this exceeds the mark. A unique experience we will do again.
