Brilliant service and delicious food! We safely parked our bikes and the puppy! & enjoyed epic water views sitting outside, while devouring incredible food! Iv never heard oh rhubarb with oysters! Wow! It’s Devine! And u must try their whole fish : incredible flavours. We highly recommend. We didn’t go inside as we had the dog, but the restaurant had flair and pizazz! It looks like a local fave.
Wonderful location! Right on the beach, not too close to the big ships or the busyness of St Kilda. The staff seemed a bit tired and must be understaffed. Most other cafes were closed in the area, so they did well to cope. Our particular waitress was very attentive once the service started. Food and drinks were great, it just was super slow. The kiosk at the front takes priority on food orders perhaps. But I would return to try out the more substantial menu as they only had limited snacks. It was later in the day so fair enough. One small but big thing was the cold water! After riding there it was a welcome relief. Usually you get warm water.
Absolutely outstanding spot for wine and dinner with friends. A fantastic wine list that ranging from local cold climate Pinots to more robust reds from France and everywhere in between. On a cold chilly winters night I felt like heading along to a beach side venue would be a mistake however as soon as we stepped foot in the restaurant those worries were removed with the warm atmosphere from both the staff and the cosy feel of the space. The menu here is exactly what you want when drinking some wines. Nice little snacks, hearty mains and delicious sides. The salt and pepper squid is potentially hands down the best squid I have ever tasted. I’m at a loss as to how it was so melt in my mouth delicate. The chips - as told by many were crispy on the outside, puffy on the inside and salted to perfection. The chefs here do an amazing job and I couldn’t fault anything from the service to the food quality. Will definitely be back! Can’t even imagine the amazing vibe here while the sun sets on a summers evening.
Pipi Kiosk - Salt n Pepper Squid $15 - Oyster $5pp - Fiona’s Focaccia w/ whipped brow butter $5pp - Salt Cod Croquette $14 - Raw Fish Ceviche $26 - Koo Wee Rup Asparagus $26 - Pipis Pasta $31 - Spring Vegetable Risotto $31 - Rock Flathead $80 - Chips $10 - Fine Apple Tart $15 - Strawberry Trifle $15 Save this spot for your next date night! This restaurant locates along the beach. Their vibe and view were exquisite! We were so lucky to visit on a fine day and captured the most splendid sunset. Food was equally amazing. The seafood was fresh. I really enjoyed the squid, oyster, ceviche and flathead. Highlight of the day was their signature pipe pasta. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was packed with flavours. They even divided it into equal portion for us. The apple tart was so fine, absolutely in love with that flakey crust. Overall a lovely wine bar along the beach. Great recommendation of the wine. Only critic is the food was slightly on the salty side.
A kiosk offering fish and chips, pastries, coffee at beach-font prices. The fish and chips package is quite unusual. You get a chunky, brick-like piece of white fish, a little over-cooked, wrapped in a thin crust that breaks into shards - definitely not the usual batter or shaped fried fish. The chips are medium-cut and crispy. The almond croissant is flattish, soft, with a surprising chocolate filling as well as quite sweet marzipan.
Fantastic location right on the beach in Albert Park with views of the bay. Exceptional food + service with perfectly executed grilled eggplant w smoky yoghurt - finely shaved heirloom tomato + white anchovy - salt cod croquettes + a delish butter lettuce + pickled watermelon rind salad...finesse everywhere including lovely attentive service where yr not just a table number + they are happy to have an informative chat. All washed down with a lovely Scion rosé based on durif fruit Hard to find food as good as this for these prices along the scattered beach front diners along the bay! Sunny Day= Happy As Good on you guys loved it -cant wait to get there for a sunset dinner
Outstanding location, food, and service. We really enjoyed our lunch at Pipis. We were recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint, the cosy restaurant is a place we will be definitely going back.
Pipis Kiosk is a great spot to grab a takeaway coffee or small bite to eat whilst at the beach or on a walk. The coffee is good and the food is nice, yet a little expensive. Through the door and around the back of the kiosk is Pipis Dining Room which we haven’t been too yet but it looks gorgeous, with glass floor to ceiling windows, overlooking views of the beach.
Good location and nice view. Freshly made fish and chips. Good tasting dipping sauce and sauerkraut.
Planned to have the fish and chips but alas that was only available for takeaway and not in dining. Sommelier was very good in recommending wines for main dishes and dessert. The special Japanese style omelette in teriyaki sauce was light and not overpowered by the teriyaki sauce. The pipi pasta could do with bit more garlic and perhaps some chilli to add more body to the tomato sauce. Great location and amazing beach view.
