Story

The Windmill Caravan Park is a quiet park centrally located in Hervey Bay. It is close to the beach, Urangan Pier, botanic gardens, shopping centre, restaurants, hotel and club facilities.

This 66 site park, with internal ensuite cabins, is set in a quiet tropical atmosphere with swimming pool, games room, a large camp kitchen and powered sites.

We can offer you personalised services for all your tourist information, together with bookings for Fraser Island and Whale Watching (seasonal) tours. Courtesy pick up and drop off from the park can be arranged at no extra cost.

We will definitely stay here again! Situated in a quiet location close to the beach. The staff here are friendly and helpful special thanks to Chris! and the amenities were fabulous and clean.
A few concerns regarding the room quality.n​While I am thankful for the staff’s flexibility with my early check-in, I feel that the $200 price tag for one night did not match the actual conditions of the stay. I’d like to provide some feedback for improvement:n​Odor & Pests: The room had a heavy smell and I experienced several insect bites.n​Equipment: The kitchen stoves all 4 burners were out of order.n​Climate Control: The fan only works on the highest setting, and the AC struggles to cool the room.n​Connectivity: The Wi-Fi was unfortunately non-functional.n​The property has potential, but it currently feels very old and poorly maintained for this price point.
With delays of traveling my family didn't arrive until midnight. We had no idea what our room number was or where to find the key. An unorganised email. Led us to having to wake up the couple that runs the place to guide us to our villa.nnUpon arriving the floors already had traces of grass in it, my mother found grass in her sheets, there was lack of power points for charging devices, the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working and dust was everywhere, leaking to constant sneezing and discomfort in the nose.nnSleeping arrangements were fine but when it came to sleeping on a single mattress on bunk beds I was unable to sleep on my sides from the feeling of springs pressing into my body, yet the bottom bunk was the complete opposite. I then flipped the mattress and found small spots of blood stains on the sheets, I had no cuts on myself, leaving me wondering if the beding had been washed properly.nnWishing the few days of staying it rained and the veranda was bleeding from the staining on wood making shoe prints appearing to have a faint red colour on white tiles. The fan in the master room was so loud that it was almost a yelling match to hear others in the small space.nnAnd trying to sleep in the morning is hard with a busy road being on the other side of the colur bond fencennPersonally I would have enjoyed staying anywhere else.
Cabins and shared areas are immaculately clean and tidy. Short walk to the Urangan jetty, foreshore parklands, walking tracks and convenience store, with a Woolworths shopping centre a short drive away. Only thing missing is an exhaust fan in the cabin bathroom.nWe'd happily stay again.
A nice clean caravan park at a fair price. One of the cheaper parks in Harvey Bay, though we can't get over the charges for a 1 day holiday. A public holiday on Monday and all parks charge for 4 day's. Is it the parks or do they just like ripping off the public.nNot happy with the price caravan parks want to charge with parking a van or tent on a little piece of ground/ dirt in some cases . Council parks $78 a night, want a blatant rip off. Just sit back and watch the price rise.
