Story

Our company has a well-established and trusted name in the Funeral Industry. Willetts Funeral Services has been in business since 1990 covering the Eastern Bay of Plenty and New Zealand.
Our premises is located at 21 King Street, Kopeopeo, Whakatane.

Our Chapel seats 120 comfortably and for larger services we open up the back of the chapel, seating a further 100 people.

The chapel is fully air conditioned and is spacious and comfortable with high quality sound equipment and a digital projector for photo presentations, an electric organ and video facilities to record the service.
For family members that are unable to attend, We have available a live Funeral Streaming Service. Due to different reasons, sometimes family or friends may not be able to attend the funeral but now with the latest technology we are able to offer a Funeral Streaming service, the next best thing to being there.

We are fully wheelchair friendly with a ramp at the rear of the chapel allowing access to the adjoining lounge, kitchen area and bathroom.

Our reception lounge and kitchen provides a place for light refreshments following the service.

Beautiful caring Staff, felt the wairua here. The Funeral home was stunning, warm and has all the facilities for whanau to wait or spend time with their loved one departed. The flowers were absolutely  stunning.

Ashley was the most caring, kind and compassionate person and made the whole experience at such a traumatic time incredibly easy. I don’t know where I would have been with out the support of Ashley and her team at willets. They literally took care of everything. Even going above and beyond to fulfil every expectation and more. Attended a presentation by Kyle Mercer of Willetts Funeral Services today.  The hosts were from KADAP Kawerau Aged Persons. We feel this was the best presentation we have attended during the past 2 - 3 years that KADAP has held on a monthly basis. Kyle was in every way professional and compassionate.   He answered every question put to him and we are sure that many people went home feeling informed and at ease in a subject that we all have to face. Well done Kyle

These guys are awesome.  Have had them help us on more than one occasion.  Extremely caring, professional, compassionate and communicated well throughout our dealings with them.

Had nothing to do with organising the funeral just the accounts process afterwards as estate management. Had accounts changed into my personal name without prior discussion, all contact with this business was not pleasent. The final straw was when other customers details were emailed too me. Definitely won't recommend this business. It took a year to settle the estate and they charged interest according, won't be using them again by choice.

We recently have used Willetts and found the service and professionalism of their staff excellent.  I would highly recommend them for taking care of your family at this stressful time. Thanks.

Please change your website and state that the Crematorium Venue does not have any Wifi and you can't live stream services from there. Miss leading and false advertising.
