This is the worst bank in NZ to deal with. Avoid like plague. I wanted to open an Everyday account for general purpose banking, but they refused because they thought that I was not "big enough" for them.
The bank worker was so impolite. I asked her if i would like to open a savings account. She asked me to tell me how much do you have. Is that her problem? What she was supposed to tell me is the amount that Westpac requires to open a savings account. So ridiculous and unprofessional.
Went to the bank yesterday to get some very important documents sorted that I was a little stressed about. I had called into the customer line for westpac the day before but still was unsure of what needed to be done. The tellers at the bank were cheery, friendly and knew exactly what to do to get it done. They double, triple checked with me that everything was correct and I left feeling happy and confident everything was properly completed. Would recommend the very helpful staff at this branch
Had issues with opening up a bank account with Westpac New Zealand in Auckland. They seem to be using an old format for Residence Visas requirement. My following conversation with Immigration New Zealand confirmed the new changes, however Westpac refuse to accept the document. Appalling customer service from the team at this branch.
A good experience there today. I went in with my elderly mother and although we hadn't made an appointment, Nancy Ling was able to meet with us fairly promptly in a private office and was very understanding and helpful in resolving our issues. She even picked up that Mom didn't have the most suitable savings account and switched it for us.
Unprofessional staff - constantly interrupted and noisying to what their colleagues are doing. I also keep getting mixed messages - I just wanted to change my last name.
The customer service in this branch is so poor and rude. Bad manners. No need to shout to the customer. He talks not listen to the customer. Also, do not say to the customer that nzd 30k is not much money. That is plenty for others and hard work money. I will not go inside this bank anymore.

Well.. they did the service as I requested but there is a lady who disclosed publicly how much I have in my saving account though we can determine which account im referring to by reading out the account name not the amount I have ? It's not something to worry too much but sometimes you don't want random people to know how much you have. Please be wary of this.
Usually lovely service with all the other branches but this place was ridiculous! I only ever come here just for changes for my venue only to experience broken change machine and terrible customer service. The lady demanded for my ID when I already did multiple trips to come by. Also had the audacity to try to call me back straight after I left the bank to retrieve my wallet when told to do so....
