The Wellington Club is New Zealand's oldest private Club. Founded in December 1841, it now owns an elegant seven-storey building on the same Terrace site as the previous two Clubhouses. The present building was opened in February 1990 by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, who is an Honorary Member of the Club.
For 176 years members have enjoyed outstanding amenities and the sophisticated setting of our Clubhouse in the very heart of the Capital City, Wellington, New Zealand.
Spacious, private and well-appointed, the Club enables members to meet friends, family and colleagues in magnificent surroundings, host a party, or simply find a quiet place to relax and dine. With its elegant dining rooms, cafe and bars, members library, conference rooms and business centre, the club is the ultimate home away from home. The Club also offers 10 accommodation rooms and its own squash court & health & fitness centre. Members also enjoy the use of a lap pool, spa and sauna and central city parking.
The Wellington Club has reciprocal relationships with over 100 Clubs worldwide. Their facilities are extended to Club Members.
