Wai A Ariki is a multicultural  community food forest and gardens. the people who care for it are all volunteers and have a wealth of knowledge to share. visitors are very welcome to come and join in or just wander and enjoy. there are always some jobs that need doing especially weeding and mowing .donations of good garden tools are always appreciated .people from all over the world have visited ( @60 countries )many have planted trees and helped in the gardens. the seed for this wonderful project was sown @5 years ago and 2 1/2  it sprung into life with the first plantings.

This beautiful community garden in Whangarei is such an awesome place to visit ... It's like the energy of the place is so peaceful and caring ... I hope those in Whangarei or visiting Whangarei would go and visit this amazing food Forest project ... It's defiantly worth the visit ..
