Car in for routine service and MOT, flagged by service dept 'recommended brake fluid change and air-con re-gas' which after consideration we declined. Upon checking the electronic service record we found the car had both brake fluid change and air-con gassed less than 12 months ago. Car wasn't cleaned either due to the valet people being too busy. Lady on reception was great but the overall experience wasn't good. I can live without the car being cleaned but being advised work for things that have only recently been done isn't cricket, especially from a main dealer.
Very helpful team. Lauren "the apprentice", Jim "the grease monkey" and Andy "the spares ace" were a super team. Sorted me right out thank you. Also excellent Coffee machine for free.
Do not take your car there. Took in our Polo for a diagnostic test for a lumpy engine - they came back with a diagnosis of three issues, one - there’s something wrong with the engine but we don’t know what, two- your electric windows are not working so we’ll need to strip down the doors to fix them, and three- there is an oil leak. There is no oil leak that’s visible to anyone else but them, the electric windows are working beautifully and we are none the wiser about the engine misfire because they don’t know what it is. When we pointed all this out they refused to refund the diagnostic fee or resolve. Their strategy is to ignore the customer and hope the problem goes away. Will be escalating to Trading Standards. Update following their response: I would love to bring the car in to repair the windows only they still work fine. We have been hunting around for the oil leak you diagnosed, we still cannot find it. My multiple emails to your team to get this matter resolved have been ignored. We have now escalated to main VW customer services.
USELESS AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Had to take my car here as the engine wasn't starting and it was flashing Amber steering light. Useless mechanic found the problem and repaired it but then without testing it they called me to go in pay £750 which part costed 120£ and the rest was for labour work. I went in and picked up my car and the next thing the steering wheel was so stiff to the point when steering left or right it was getting stuck. I email them and told them about the problem and all was told that its not their problem after being charged 750£ pound. I emailed again and they asked me to take it in and they said they had to lubricate the steering wheel. I picked up the car and the next thing the horn its not working. Had to take it back in in and the mechanic who lubricated the steering wheel didn't put it back right and now im left with a horn that dosent work properly. Take your cars to normal mechanic because at least they take the responsibility of any sort of problem they cause themselves to your vehicle and will repair it. Don't get ripped off for rubbish work. Zero star and will never bring my car here nore will recommend to anyone.
As with most main dealers any work you want done on your car will cost you dear. Service staff are very professional and friendly. I paid £60 to have my car looked at which was fine but the estimate was outrageous. Did have my car valeted while it was there but my 5 year old could have done a far better job than the clowns they had cleaning my car and the drivers side foot well was soaked through. Managed to get the work done £1000 cheaper than quoted by Beadles in the end.
We bought a car from here in January and received a very good service. The best VW dealership I’ve used in my 20 years of buying Volkswagen’s. Definitely recommend.
Happy with the service, but one little disappointment … on collecting car from service was told “they didn’t clean it as it was already clean”. The receptionist came with me to find car in the car park and the car was covered in bird mess and sandy dust. I said I wasn’t happy and the receptionist said “we have a problem with seagulls” and walked away. Had to take the car to be cleaned at my own expense as bird mess damages the paintwork if not removed.
I recently purchased a new Golf Life from Beadles Maidstone. The sales person Connor Hyndman was very professional making the whole process trouble free.
I thought I’d take out a service plan, took my car here and they couldn’t even be bothered to give my car a service wash. What on earth, main dealers are expensive I expect top service for top price.
The second time I had a service and MOT and being promised part of the deal would be a car valet! Not even a wipe let alone a wash happened on both occasions and when queried was told it can’t always happen! Not impressed!
