I made my appointment for 10.00 a.m. on 05/08/2022 by calling the salon on Thursday, 04/08/2022. The person who made the appointment said my hair would be washed, cut and styled. I arrived at the salon on time on 05/08/2022. I was seen by the salon manager of Indian descent. She asked me if I wanted my hair to be washed. I asked what difference it would make. She said it makes no difference! Since I was in a rush was flying overseas the next day, I opted for no wash. After she had finished cutting my hair, she said to me, "go home, wash your hair, blow dry and straighten it. If the layers are not defined, come back again ". I got peeved at that comment. I told her that I did not have time to come back. I told her that I wanted my hair to be washed, blow dried and to be made sure that everything was done correctly the first time. I was then told to wait for the other worker to wash my hair. The other worker worker number 2 was the trainee. When I asked how long my wait time would be, worker number 3, piped up saying, "be patient". I waited patiently for another 15 minutes. Seeing that it would take a long time before I would be attended, I took leave after paying $60.00. I was appalled at the customer service. Rather than doing something right the first time, they told me to come back if things were not right. Then rudely being told to be patient when I was at my appointment slot, is also not right. I just wanted to pop on here and say a massive thank you to the stylist that did my hair yesterday. My hair is pretty thick and short atm so was a little worried about how it might turn out but the stylist constantly reassured me and gave such great advice! She really understood my hair which made me super comfortable! The end result was so stunning and I absolutely love how it turned out! I feel so much more confident about my hair now!! They were slammed when I arrived @1pm - 15mins early for my hair appointment, stayed busy til 3/4pm. Apart from having to wait longer than I should have, the service and outcome of my hair colour treatment was great. My hair is definitely shorter than I intended it to be but I like it! Absolutely wonderful service management to get a same day booking on a Saturday, which I appreciate deeply as I had traveled from Kaitaia and was only in Auckland for the weekend. The staff were welcoming and friendly, my hairstylist worked miracles, I didn’t catch her name but she was amazing. I got a full head of high lights with a cut, toner, treatment and style. As I sat there I watch this incredible women work like magic. I have a lot of hair and she done a wonderful job and on top of that I watch her complete all her other appointments while my hair was processing and not once did I see her have a break she done all that just so could have my appointment. Everything about this women was beautiful, her appearance, her ora and her work just beautiful. So thank you so much Service: Hair coloring
If I could rate no stars I would - sent my mum here to get her hair done as a birthday gift and now completely regret it. She was booked for a new client colour & cut package. The price is not equivalent to the quality of service she received - it was rushed & not done efficiently by the hairdresser. She came home with dye still visible on her skin, like how could you let a client walk out of a salon looking that?! If you’re not gonna do something to the best of your ability, dont do it at all! And secondly, didnt even get what we paid for! Wash, cut & dye then was sent on her way… $200 for that?! your kidding me! If that was going to be the outcome, I would’ve just gone & got a box dye from the supermarket! Yous need to do better!Services: Hair coloring
Another awesome Vivo branch. Suzanne is a brilliant colorist and always makes me feel so welcome. Really listens to what l have to say as my colour requirements can be slightly complex depending on what colour l want to be at the time. Would highly recommend this salon.
I made an appointment on the 23rd of December. Was very busy as expected. I was booked for a new client full head of foils. Ended up costing over $400 for my already blonde hair. My hair was so damaged after this appointment. I've had my foils done on my hair dozens of times and never experienced this. It's been over a month and my hair is still so damaged. Also the placing of the foils was horrible. They are not even and when I tie my hair up it looks like Grey over growth. This hair dresser was not experienced at all. Vivo Manukau has go down hill. I used to love this place. Will not be returning here.Service: Hair highlighting

They take care of your needs through thorough consultation and I also love how they explain what they're doing in detail. This was only supposed to be a one-off but I am definitely coming back again!"
I highly recommend this hair salon!!! Thank you to Priti, she made my day!!! She is so gentle when it comes to handling my hair i reaaly love my hair cut. So if you are planning to do a hair cut, look for Priti, she can give you also tips on how to fix/style your hair in your daily routines. Thank you also to the staff who washed my hair, very relaxing!!!
Tbh for the money I paid for my sons hair I was not satisfied. $150, Four hours and two trys of toning and we got what we got. He wanted a Justin bieber look with the blond top, his hair was short and had never been bleached or dyed so I don't think we were asking for much. I mean I showed them pictures before hand and going forward I assumed they would deliver.Service: Hair coloring
