This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some great breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu is varied often enough and there is also a huge range of drinks from sparkling to beers and ciders. The staff is courteous and helpful. The view of the flights from the lounge is also beautiful. They also offer takeaway bags where you can either pack your own sandwiches or get pre-packed muffins to take away. There are also a range of freshly made hot beverages, also available for takeaway.

Nice and quiet for my mid morning flight however food selection was very disappointing. Very limited with obvious items such as a cheese selection missing. Also did not think it appropriate to hear several staff complaining very loudly about their work conditions/colleagues in a huddle around the open cleaners room adjacent to the bathroom.

It's quite large compared to most airport lounges that I have been in. In fact it's ginormous, loud and busy. For breakfast they were putting on a buffet with serve yourself toasted sandwiches, cereal, toast, eggs and juice. There is a separate coffee bar at one end. The most disappointing thing is that it isn't inside the security area so when you leave to go to your flight you still have to go through security.  The design, style and furniture bare comfy though.

Virgin I'm a Platinum FF and allegiance to Virgin Australia is strong. However I walked into the Velocity lounge in Melbourne today and had to walk straight back out. It was busy for sure and you can't help that but the fittings and fixtures are very tired and tatty. Things were broken. It's just not a nice pleasant place to be anymore. I had more peace and quiet sitting at the gate for an hour and a half. It's not good really not good. Please refresh your Melbourne lounge.

Consistent Service & product here, not an amazing choice of food but what they offer is fresh and fills the spot. Certainly prefer hanging out here before a flight than the rest of the airport.
