The staff are letting you down.
I’ve used the lounge at least 6 times in the last few months and walk away each time with a sour taste.
Im currently writing this review while sitting in the international qantas lounge.
A few minutes ago, I approached the coffee machine counter which was unattended however there was a staff member stacking the magazine shelves.
She seemed to be purposely ignoring me, so I (politely) asked her if she knew when the coffee machine will be operating. She advised that I should use the smaller automatic coffee machine as she was busy.
I looked at her stunned for a moment, and advised that I was hoping to get coffee from the machine (pointing to it at this point).
She smiled and said that there’s nothing she can do until the buffet has finished (no idea what that means).
I started to walk away and she said to give her 5 minutes. That was 20 minutes ago.

Very disappointed, there is hardly any help for kids with  food Allergies.

We used Qantas  Business Lounge today on our way to Doha as part One World.

My son  is allergic to peanuts, egg and dairy and so I checked with the  catering staff or chef could assist, at least to come out and explain which food is safe for him to consume. The Indian looking lady help was trying to do her best.

They said lamp chops  which is normally safe, will served at 830pm and then after a few minutes they said, it will be served at 930pm.

Ultimately, my son had to go out and buy some food from Hungary Jacks.

It looks like the Chef and catering are least interested to service their clients; didn't even bother to come out and explain. The staff were not even sure, what each dishes contains, they just wanted to avoid us.  

We did have good experience with other business class lounges, at least they were considerate and some even made special dishes, but looks like Qantas Lounge hardly cares. 

If Qantas CEO has donate 1M for SSM, he can also do something to cater kids with Allergy, which is much more important, at least some good service. 

We pay huge amount to travel in Business Class.  If cruise ships can service people with food allergies efficiently, I wonder why a Lounge such as QANTAS can't?

A relaxing place helped by pleasant crew. A range of simple but tasty food. All is help yourself including the drink range. A call is made re boarding time as they fall giving plenty of time to reach the relevant gate.
Quite an enjoyable experience.

Deeply uninspiring and somewhat down-at-heel lounge. It comes off very badly in comparison with the new Qantas lounge at Heathrow and I'd have thought the airline would be embarrassed to have something this dowdy at one of its major home bases.

On the positive side the shower facilities are good which is welcome after a long flight.

very average food & dinning environment.   I personally think it may be OK for domestic traveler.  but it does not meet the standard for international business class traveler to me.
