Front desk staff were really friendly and I was able to book the appointment over the phone with short notice.nnThe vet was amazing with my boy who has been to a lot of vet trips lately and was clearly unsure of his soundings.nnShe made him calm, gave plenty of pats and we left with him wagging his tail and not trying to escape out the door as quick as possible.nnThe whole practice was very clean and tidy.nI thought the idea of two different entrances for dogs and cats is a great idea!
Called up regarding our dog who is on the plan for some urgent advice, the staff went above and beyond to help me on the phone - to top it off they called me the next day to check everything was ok with my dog. Very please and happy with the service!
Appalling service. Gave my parents’ dog the wrong treatment for an infection, steroids instead of antibiotics, which exacerbated her diabetes greatly. The steroids made the dog go blind and sent her BGLs up to 25mmol/L. We were told they would get in contact with us about how to treat the diabetes and they never contacted us. They then quoted an extortionate amount for the treatment of her diabetes and told us they would contact us in a few days to see how she was going. It has been 3 weeks and they have not contacted us. When my mum called to cancel the dog’s vaccination appointment they asked if mum wanted to reschedule the appointment. Mum told them she had made alternative arrangements and the receptionist was then very dismissive of my mum.

Ok long one here, but if your seaching through reviews because your dog needs TPLO surgey read on... but if not, read on anyways...nWhen our pooch Banjo, a Kelpie X, tore his Cranial cruciate Ligament we needed a vet reasonably quickly to conduct a TPLO surgery. We called many vets around Perth and found prices to vary between $4k to 7.5k, with waiting times of up to 6 weeks. When we called Vet west they were super happy to email us all the info and a quote with the cost breakdown of the financials all other vets just gave us a rough figure over the phone. Vet west originally quoted $5.5k, sounds alot but for the kind of surgery and the comparison to other places of what you get from it, its very reasonable. After the surgery to our delight the cost actually came in $200 under. It also included the post op x rays which are usually $500, where alot of other vets that wasn't even part of their quote. So we decided to book him in with vet west and they had a spot available within a week. We spoke to Dr. Chad who was so professional and kind, and was very keen to make sure we felt comfortable about all the details of the surgery. It was a rough few weeks for Banjo after the surgery but as the weeks rolled on he became stronger in the leg and can now run and play in the park like he used to.nCouldn't recommend Vet west and Dr chad at Currumbine enough to take the upmost care for you furry friend.nHope this helps you choose a vet.
