It’s ALL vegetarian. All of it. Even the chicken, duck, fish etc. On the menu - all made with mock meat. It was delish. Priced really reasonably too. Service was not the best, I felt like the old lady told us off for not ordering fast enough , but I’m not going to complain when the food is good and cheap.
At first i wasn't so sure cause the place is quite empty on lunch hour. But as soon as i open the takeaway container, i know it's the good stuff. Overall food is very reasonably well priced and has great flavour to it. Fried tofu has light and crispy batter. The meat substitute duck will not fool you, but it has good chew to it and gives satisfying feeling of eating meat. I'm not vegetarian by all mean, but I'm very happy with the meal.
Delicious vegetarian food with prompt and friendly service. An extensive menu of vegetarian versions of chinese dishes and Malaysian/Singaporean hawker fare. On our 2 visits we tried the Kung Pau Chicken, Cereal Prawns, Fried Kuey Teow and Cantonese Fried Egg noodles. Definitely going back for more.
Delicious food! Generous portions. I tried the sweet and sour chicken and it was a hit. Would recommend for the flavors and the mock meat.
Everything's vegan except for eggs in fried rice vegan upon request, & milk in fish curry. Hot & sour soup & satay chicken were very tasty! Laksa was good if a bit light in flavor knowing how thick & rich real laksa is. $33 for all that in photo, super full shared between us 2. Very worth it! More like 4.5 stars
Surprise visit to this place as I was looking for a place that serves soup to satisfy my cravings on a cold night. Surprisingly it's a completely vegetarian/vegan place serving mock meat. Extremely affordably priced and we had ordered spring rolls, wontons and hot n sour soup which was good!
The food lacks onion, garlic and consequently taste. It was served cold, and the vegetables in the tasteless fried rice, were from the frozen section at Coles. The service reminded me of summer camp, only a tad less friendly. The prices are about 40 percent more expensive than much better restaurants. Skip
Highly recommend! Amazing vegetarian dishes, even my husband who eats meat liked the taste of the substitute meats in his dish super rare. Pricing is great and you get a lot of food for your dollar. So glad we found this little gem.
One of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants I tried in Melbourne. The service was really fast. Their sweet and sour chicken + double since crispy duck are the must try if you've never been here before. You can also buy the mock meat from their display freezers if you want to cook them at home. Overall, it was a very good experience. Will definitely come back again next time.
It’s impressive how they made a meat-like flavors out of simple vegetarian ingredients. Especially the roasted duck dish - even better than the actual duck we tried in other places less oily and more flavorful. The lady owner was lovely as well, double checked if I could handle the spice; and asked how we liked the food.
