Story

VargaBar Espresso tucked away in a tidy little corner just off the hustle and bustle of King Street is the gem of Newtown. VargaBar is all about you, and that’s the reason we have been here 15+ years and still going strong.

The hardest thing to find anywhere and lets be honest it’s rare to find all four.

OUR COFFEE

In recent years VargaBar Espresso has been working on making our coffee the best in Newtown. Having now refined our recipe and roasting process we are delighted to introduce to you… Bombshell Boutique Coffee Co. Sourced from 4 different countries and across 3 continents, our blend consists of 3 quality Arabica (high altitude) and 1 Robusta (lower Altitude) beans.

The mix of the four different beans gives an overall taste of a soft bodied blend consisting of distinct plum and citrus notes. Along with an intense floral, fragrant, red berry like flavour that overall is soft on the palate and rich in flavour.

Roasted 1 kg at a time in-house here at VargaBar, for a more aromatic and enticing drinking experience. Roasting in such small batches allows us to cool the coffee beans from 197 to 37 degrees in less than 4 minutes. This means we can bag the coffee instantly and trap in all those incredible natural gases that give our blend its distinct and unique flavour. Ask for an “espresso – on Simon” for a tasting that will blow your socks off!
