Went to Pukekohe A and E midday Saturday. Was concerned that the wait time would be bad and a sign on the reception desk indicated a wait time of two hours. Fortunately the rugby injuries had not peaked at this time, so was able to see the triage nurse, a doctor, have a dressing applied and a prescription filled within an hour so all good as far as I was concerned.
Needed assistance yesterday for the first time in several years. The place was busy, and a notice was posted to advise a possible 3-hour wait. The Reception staff were very friendly, professional and could immediately see the pain my wife was experiencing. We were placed in the hands of the Triage Nurse, who immediately arranged an X-ray that revealed a broken collarbone from a recent fall. My wife was seen by one of the Doctors, treated and supplied a sling for the next 6 weeks. The complete procedure took less than one hour. I understand that Urgent Care Franklin can process 700 clients in a day. What a great service to Pukekohe and the surrounding districts. I hate to think how we would get on without them. Congratulations to all the staff, thank you.
I attended Franklin urgent care for the very first time after a fall that caused me to lacerate my arm. All the staff were wonderful. From booking in at reception to leaving I was treated with respect compassion and kindness. Everything was explained to me. It was very busy but I was never made to feel any less important than others with more serious problems. I have since returned to have my sutures removed and my experience was just as positive.nGreat service. Thank you.
Very disappointed. I don’t understand why government are doing nothing to improve health system. One of the worst . Waited for three hours to see doctor. Receptionist was clueless so was the nurse. Even the doctor she was not good too. She gives 10ml Antibiotics to 5 year old daughter which is double then normal. Which cause vomiting and bad stomach ache. Even the nurse was clueless when we complained about it. Very very disappointing with everyone there.
We came with our child who had injured his toe – it was swollen and painful. The young receptionist asked us to fill out a form and wait. At that time, there was no one else in the waiting room. Later, other people arrived and were seen before us. We were never called, and when we asked why, she explained that we had been dropped from the system queue. Such inattentiveness in this kind of situation was a little disappointing. However, the doctors were absolutely wonderful
