Story

Urge is a coffee and tea speciality shop in Hamilton CBD. This business has been running for over 60 years, and has been trading as Urge since December 2001. Urge has 32 different coffee blends and roasts which can be sold as beans or ground coffee. Because of our large customer base, we also make up recipes to suit the individual. Urge coffee is roasted by the second largest roaster in New Zealand. Only the finest AA graded beans are used to ensure quality and continuity of the coffee. We also have blends designed specifically for the hospitality market. Our large selection of teas which range from the traditional Twinings black, to the exotic fruit infusion flavours, are available either in loose leaf or bagged form, or in kilogram cafe lots.

Good service from friendly staff, delicious food with no skimping on ingredients, well located in the middle of town (also conveniently placed really close to my work) with plenty of interesting things to look at and buy (fine china!). The coffee is some of the best in Hamilton. Popular mornings and lunchtimes, quietens down later in the afternoon.

Friendly staff and a convenient location if you're in CBD. My friends and I come here at least once a week. The coffee and tea are usually good, service is good as well, prices are reasonable and they usually have special offers during the day.
