The vegetarian burger was excellent. Halloumi and avocado, no stodgy veggie patty. Served with plenty of well seasoned chips. Not that healthy but a good hearty meal, reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly.
We had trekked around the city on a recent Saturday morning and we were hungry! Time for brunch, so we stopped in at Urban Grounds and we're so glad we did!nFrom the moment we walked in and noticed the beautiful art works on the walls, to our delicious meals which we enjoyed seated in the sun-drenched verandah perfect for a chilly Toowoomba winter morning, it was a top- class experience.nnThe food was delicious and the ambience even better. The beautiful historic old house is the perfect setting for a lazy weekend brunch, and the outstanding outdoor deck would be equally lovely, I imagine, for dinner on a summer evening. This is definitely worth putting on your list!
This cafe is a fantastic place for breakfast, with plentiful and healthy choices on the menu. Both the Farmhouse, and Big Breakfasts are equally as good, but they are both very generously provisioned. Bring your appetite, because you don't want to miss these if you're a breakfast lover.nnI set myself up for a morning of remote working here, and enjoyed continued hospitality throughout my extended stay until lunch.nnI then chose the Beef Cheeks for lunch and was blown away by the richness and tenderness of the cheeks. You get these polenta triangles with fluffy polenta inside. The beetroot offers some acidic respite from the richness of the cheeks.nnIf I'm ever up in Toowoomba for breakfast or lunch again, it's this place or nothing.
This venue is absolutely beautiful and has the most attentive staff. The food was lovey and the coffee was perfect. I had the raisin toast with was much thicker than I expected. Beautiful cafe with friendly staff that were very helpful. The meals came out very fast and were good looking and very tasty. The cafe had a good atmosphere and wasn't loud. The range of food was extensive and the price is reasonable. Great place for a bite to eat.
