The place was clean, looks like it got a fresh paint and carpet not long agonThough there was a hole in the wall under the window, exposing the old and dated framing of the place. The bed in our room was quite uncomfortable, but again very clean. Overall mine and my partners stay was enjoyable, location was great, just think they need to do a bit of maintenance and updating :

This is a budget motel,  a bit dated but was ideal for us. The parking was undercover and high enough to accommodate our HiAce. It was clean, very quiet. and had everything we needed. The best thing was the location: very close to the 1 km+ pier, and a short walk to the beautiful botanic gardens. A supermarket and bottle shop were round the corner. It was perfect for us arriving in HB to attend a function. We would definitely stay at the Urangan Motor Inn again.

Saw reviews and was worried about staying here as it was booked through work, but I must say that we had 4 rooms and they were all clean, beds were comfortable and carpets did not smell like these reviews said, plus lady at checkout was pleasant,  I would definitely stay here again

I don't know where to begin, after leaving reception we found our room and the second we opened the door we found not 1 BUT 2 STAINS ON THE FLOOR IN THE SHAPE OF FOOT PRINTS.nAlas we tried to make it work as we were not intending to be in the room very much.nGo to the toilet, SKID MARKS still in the bowl, the shower door was covered in grime and filth.nThe fridge was set to the highest temperature so no where to put our drinks.nWe sit on the bed and it was hard as a rock, we got 1 lumpy, slightly stained pillow each and a flat sheet, that was it.nI understand being the more affordable motel in Urangan particularly being next to the Oaks but this was filthy, are customers expected to clean up after previous guests or in our case what looked like the last 100 guestsnAbsolutely foul, we checked out as early as we could on our last day, just made it work from the car.

To start with, you get what you pay for. We have stayed here many times and yes it is outdated and in need of a serious makeover. However we have never had a problem with our stay. The rooms are small yet cosy. The beds are comfortable. All the comforts including air-conditioning ours did not have a timer. TV, nice shower, fridge for beers.nothing else required. We were only there to sleep or freshen up before our next venture around the bay. Yes there are bad reviews about this place..but when you stop and think about the price, location and comfort you really cant complain considering the cost of other places in the bay. And never seen a cockroach in all the times we have stayed. We would stay again.
