URM are great supporters of the community helping out community groups such as Surf Life Saving Clubs with sponsorship and in-kind support. They provide a very reliable weekly domestic waste collection which many of us take for granted. We use URM for our work waste management and recycling and have never had a problem.

Had 2 really good experiences with this company, firstly when I was moving house I rented a skip bin, it was delivered quickly and picked up the same day I called to say it was ready, plus it was a really good price. Second was when my weekly bin collection was missed, I called them and the truck came back and collected our garbage the same day. I’ve noticed that URM sponsor all kinds of community events and sport teams too! Keep it up!!

The Big Swim is a Community Event started in 1974 when a few Whale Beach Surf Club Lifesavers decided it was a good idea to swim from Palm Beach around the headland to Whale Beach - a very challenging Ocean Swim. TBS is held every year since 1974, cancelled once due to huge swell. We identified a need to provide a shorter Ocean Swim in 2013 and found in URM an organisation already heavily engaged in the local community who would support us in developing what has become a real nursery for those swimmers wanting to have a crack at ocean swims. Over the last 5 years with the support of URM the Little Big Swim has achieved its aims as a nursery with many swimmers who, in following years enter the Big Swim and achieve enormous personal goals by completing the Premier Ocean Swim in this part of the world. Our club and my personal thanks to URM for supporting the Little Big Swim as it has grown into a 1st class short ocean swim and clearly a stand alone event in the years ahead. URM provide an excellent service to the Northern Beaches and also do a great job in supporting local events via their many sponsorships.

URM have provided a great service in Warringah Shire. Their support of local events and causes is 1st Class. The yearly Pun2Oub Fun Run and Festival is one example. As the major sponsor, they have enabled this event to raise over $10M for the people of the Northern Beaches. Keep it up URM!!
