This shop is amazing! The staff are extremely lovely and patient. Steve was a genuine and lovely person to talk to and didn't see me as just another transaction. He took his time with me and helped me find the best piece I could within my budget. I absolutely love opals and was so happy to meet genuine people that shared the same passion. I visited this store 3 out of my 5 days in Adelaide. I couldn't stop looking at all the beautiful pieces they had. The mine underneath is an absolute bonus too. I told my mum about this place and we're already planning a weekend away just to visit this store. Definitely 5 stars!

Best Opal shop and customer service. I love the variety of jewellery. Price is reasonable. And the shop owner is so honest and help you to find what you want. And he repaired my pendant that I bought from somewhere else couple of times free of charge. I am so happy with my earnings that I purchased and their customer service.

This shop is truly amazing with a large stock of quality opals coupled with excellent friendly staff. On our first visit we had an opal ring to resize, Steve was extremely helpful and managed to resize the ring and have it ready for a forth coming wedding we were attending. On our third visit to the shop we were accompanied by our mother who on this occasion was helped by the wonderful Elijah. Excellent service again and on this occasion she bought a beautiful black opal pendant on a pearl necklace and was charmed by Elijah’s knowledge and patience. We will return.. thank you.

Steve is the most patient, genuine, and trustworthy person I have dealt with in a long time. I highly recommend him for his high quality work and ability to go above and beyond what I could possibly expect. I have returned to Unique Opal Mine on multiple occasions now and will continue to do so into the future.

I can happily say with 100% certainty and honesty that I have found my local go-to Jewellers! The service we have received on numerous occasions from Mason and Steve has exceeded our expectations a thousand times over. My Husband bought my engagement ring from Unique Opal Mine and was served by Mason. He did an excellent job at helping us pick out the perfect ring and helped make sure we stay within our budget. Recently I had dropped my opal ring from about 20cm high onto our dining table and unfortunately the Opal cracked right through, I was devastated to say the least. I called the store and they said to bring it in. They assessed my ring and helped replace the stone to a similar one and even gave me my original stone back! We are so happy with their craftsmanship and ability to run a business but also make you seem like you’ve been a family friend they’ve known for ages. They will look after you and you can be guaranteed that you will receive the absolute best quality in any purchase or custom-made item you desire from them. Thank you Steve and Mason for everything!

This shop has truly one of a kind service - I was lucky to find this shop while traveling in Australia and had my engagement ring made by Tim and Steve in January 2017. They helped me choose an opal which was such a fun process, and the ring was ready to pick up a few days later! The opal is absolutely stunning and the setting is perfect. This shop is always so friendly and welcoming, and has really high quality standards.  I just recently had my fiance's wedding band made by them even though I was still in the States. It came out exactly as I imagined and the turn around was really quick again. It is the perfect compliment to my engagement ring. Thank you so much Tim and Steve! I will cherish these pieces forever!

I bought an opal ring in Coober Pedy but it was too big so I had to get it resized. Didn't have enough time in Coober Pedy to get it done there. Tried getting this done in some of the bigger jewellers in Adelaide but was told that it was too risky - they might damage the opal because of how the opal was set, the design of the ring and because it needed to go down 6 sizes . Steven had a look at it, said that there was a chance it might get damaged but that he could do it. And he did!! No damage at all!! I was also short in time as I was just passing through Adelaide really, but he got it done before I needed to leave, even though he was very busy! Very easy to talk to, straightforward and gets the job done! Highly recommend!! I've already recommended this shop to one of my friends who is thinking of getting an opal ring for her engagement ring! Thank you, Steven and Tim!

Shopping at Unique Opal Mine was an excellent experience. I went in curious to see what necklace pendants they had and walked out with a beautiful Queensland boulder opal pendant. We were helped by Mason who gave us fantastic customer service including answering all my questions about the stones origins and how the pieces were made and pulling out additional pieces that he thought I might like based on what I was looking at. The service was not overbearing and I did not feel pressured to buy at any point. All their jewellery is handmade and the business is local and family owned. Their knowledge and the quality of their product is apparent. I would 100% shop here again in the future.

I can’t rate this place enough. I give them 20 stars. Tim is an amazing talented jeweller who can make anything and do it with perfection. My engagement ring was custom made by Tim and we had our wedding bands custom made by him also. The diamonds and the detail are stunning, i get compliments at the shops by workers and random people in shops. I haven’t stopped pointing at things and taking photos of my rings on my hand since I got proposed to hahaha. Almost a year now and I still keep pointing at everything and sending people photos of my ring and posting it up on social media on a daily basis hence my many highlight reels of just my hand pointing to things. My nick name is now bling bling  because , well, I got a nice piece of bling on my hand lol. My husbands wedding ring is gold with unique engraving on there and is just perfection, he has had many compliments on it. We also got a custom made necklace which is gorgeous and Tim was so patient in dealing with my indecisiveness to what I wanted. He helped me come up with different options to get the final piece. Dealing with Tim was an absolute pleasure, highly recommend him . He has great customer service and quality end results with the pieces he made for us. When it comes to jewellery like your wedding rings you’d want it to be top quality and that’s exactly what you’ll get with Tim. All the staff are friendly and helpful there which is also a bonus.
