Love the Uniqlo in Sydney CBD MidCity Centre amazing location, super convenient, and always well-organised. They have a great variety of clothes for all seasons, and everything is neat and easy to find. Staff are friendly and helpful too. One of my favourite Uniqlo stores in Sydney!
This store is really huge. There are so many clothes here it makes me wonder where all the clothes go that aren’t sold and why are there so many things made in the world? It feels like a lot of consumerism here but you’ll definitely find things you want to buy and stuff you didn’t know you would want to buy. I only came for socks and only bought socks. But watched my partner buy a lot of stuff.
I’ve been going to this store every once in a while over 6-7 months. Lately I try to avoid peak hours and only go early right when they open for urgent purchases.nnLet’s start with the positives:nn- Decent staff interactions most of the time, mostly at counter and checkout.nn- Product variety. It’s good to feel the fabric and see the actual color before purchasing.nn- Good location for easy pick-up. Pick-ups have been seamless and I avoid peak hours.nn- Noise level is okay too. I haven’t gotten sensory overload due to noise level here.nnNow the other side of my experience:nn- It can get disorienting/suffocating due to the store’s layout. I do get lost and end up circling the same area a few times so now I’m on the staff’s radar for potential theft seriously just ask if a customer needs help instead of staring them down or asking for bag checknn- I can never find the other fitting room I know it exists.nn- Data is terrible inside the store so I can’t look up the sizing guide/suggestion in the app which leads to lining up multiple times if I wanted to try different items.nn- During my recent visit, the product was on the discounted rack. Same product, different colours on two different racks, side by side. Scanned it at checkout only to learn that it’s full price. Misleading and not a good experience after spending >35 mins with half of that waiting to get into the fitting room.nn- Some staff can’t be bothered to help and just keeps bouncing you to different people until you end up with them because apparently the first staff is the one who can help.nn- I see more staff probably handling stock but less help/focus on customer in general.
Very welcoming and friendly staff, making sure every customer they pass by is having a great experience and day.nnA wide variety and selection of different type of clothing, self checkout system very quick and easy.nnA staff member who I forgot his name, was very helpful and friendly when guiding me to the cardigan section. I asked him for a light blue cardigan, he kept apologising on not having this product. It was very thoughtful and respectful when they didn’t have what I was looking for.
I visited the Labubu T-shirt section intending to buy a shirt and was choosing my size. I understand staff must keep the clothes organized, and I respect that. I was not trying to make a mess—most of the time I even fold items back and return them to their place.nnHowever, a female staff member with short black hair made me feel very uncomfortable because her “help” felt like pressure to stop me from choosing for myself. She seemed unwilling to let me browse or look for my size, and quickly pushed a shirt into my hands as if to prevent me from searching. The way she acted made me feel like I was being told, “Don’t touch anything—don’t make it messy,” rather than being welcomed as a customer.nnI am a regular customer, but this experience was very negative and showed a lack of customer service. I am very dissatisfied and hope this will be taken seriously and addressed.
