What a lovely team at The Palms Unichem Pharmacy PNth! The chemist brought my script out to me I. My car as my baby grandson was sleeping and I didn’t want to take him out of god car seat and wake him up. Thanks Unichem Palms
"Everything is well set out - not cramped. Even when they are very busy, it doesn't take long to get served. All the staff are friendly and I've never had a bad experience there in all the years I have dealt with this pharmacy. Thankyou. Christine MacArthur
Good location next to the medical centre with helpful and friendly staff. The plastic picnic table is helpful too as a way to stop my toddler wandering around touching everything.
One if the places you can get your Covid pass. Busy place but moves fast. They have beeper as most of the time it takes 20 minutes for a prescription. There's a waiting area. This pharmacy also has soap, make up and other children's toys etc for sale. Conveniently located at the Palms medical centre building itself which is in close proximity to town.
Worst experience at any medical practice, the doctors are lovely, the nurses aren't so bad but the receptionists are absolutely horrible! Been there multiple times and everytime it's like asking them to pull their teeth out when you just want help or general information. Not the ideal place to be if you are looking for professionalism and help in a sick state. I'm 5 months pregnant and they couldn't have been anymore rude. Won't be returning there in a hurry, would rather wait hours and hours at A&E in the hospital.
Horrible experience. I had been seeing the same GP for a couple of years when I was studying at Massey. I returned to the USA for a time after graduating and then came back last August on a temporary work visa since I had become engaged to a kiwi bloke. I saw the same GP for 8 months and she was helping me manage my chronic health issues. Well, I tried to make an appointment last week and I was told that I couldn't anymore because I am ineligible to enrol due to my visa status, and I am "taking up space that a funded, enrolled patient could be using." Never mind I already was paying $98 to see my doctor every time I walked in the door. I told them about my chronic health conditions- they admittedly said the walkin service couldn't treat those, but if I got really bad, to go to the emergency queue. I had been seeing my GP for years and I loved her- and they suddenly, ruthlessly cut me off and treated me like an animal. I feel I have been discriminated against. Don't go here if you want to be treated fairly.
My experiences have all been frustrating if you don't want to be dealing with people quite often feeling there worst don't be a receptionist!!!! Sorry but a few not all are so bloody rude. I've also been suffering from syptoms for yrs and have only now been referred for a scan. Over all not happy would of changed doctors but hard to find somewhere to get in. Will be continuing to try. I will say the new guy in charge is lovely and trying hard to make a change.
While waiting, I popped in and was impressed with the layout of the pharmacy, the availability of products and well stocked shelves. The staff are really helpful and will take the time to assist you with suggestions including showing me an alternative range which turned out to be exactly what I was after.
I went to The Palms on Tuesday night as my 4 yr old daughter had an allergic reaction and come out in welts and blisters. Unfortunately turned up at 6:59 with the chemist closing at 7pm and was told can't help you as we have closed the till for the night, asked for advise as 4 yr old was upset and we needed a solution and still not interested. I was told to go to the competition. I couldn't believe this and said I would tell people as I walked out and then heard laughing from the staff member. So much for customer service and the claim on their website "we are all about people - our customers. For professional advise on wellness products through to the latest trends in cosmetics come and talk to our trained, helpful staff." Yeah Right!!!!!
Please everyone make certain that you check that the medicine the Dr has written on the script is the medicine that this Pharmacy dispenses. Sadly it has been brought to my attention that this Pharmacy put a generic med into an original box. This potentially could have had devastating consequences. Especially as there is a huge alert on the particular patients file. I always recommend that you take a photo on your phone of the paper prescription the Dr writes and then check it before paying for it. These people are human and they do make mistakes and it is always easy to apologist after an event. This is a damm disgrace.
