Underwood delivers underwhelming service. The manager is both rude and severely incompetent of listening to and facilitating the needs of her customers. She is incredibly rude and throws her toys out of the cot when she fails to understand basic customer service fundamentals. No need to post specifics here of the interaction that we experienced today, however, more then willing to speak to someone from Underwood if they care enough to reach out. Thanks again for ruining my wife's Christmas surprise and we will be taking our business to Vera at the jewellers down the road.
Underwoods Fine Jewellers provided well priced, prompt and friendly service to mend 2 rings. Highly recommended.
I took a wedding ring to the Sunshine Plaza store to be resized last week while we were visiting for a few days express service was available at a very reasonable price and had a text message that afternoon to say it was done and ready to be picked up. All i can say is that i was offered excellent and friendly service at a very fair price thanks ladies. Cheers Les Goodall
I take my ring to up size here and the promise date is 12/08/22 i have to go plaza 10/08 as i have appointments my house take 20mins drive to Plaza i called them asked about my ring in case it's done. One of the staff answered phone and told me that if i not get any SMS no need call and that mean my ring not coming yet! Not even listening why i am calling you for today. NOT EVEN CHECKING MY RING IT IS COMING OR NOT. Very rude customer service I waited until 14/08 i am not get any SMS from them and it's over due date. I try to call again. This time one who pick up the phone very good services and said apologies about delays and she have checked that my ring was delivered since 20/07 but she don't know why i didn't get any SMS. To..... the first lady one who pick up my phone 10/08 . This job is not really suitable for you. You don't even caring your clients. No service mind. Talking very rude and not listen customers before you answer anything.

We have had quite a bit of work done by this store. My mother had a bracelet she wanted to sell, paid for the appraisal and agreed with the sale price. They had the bracelet for months when they rang me mum lives interstate and said they can't sell it because it was not a gold bracelet. Strike 1 Had a family heirloom reset in princess cut, main diamond in the centre and 13 stones surrounding the main. I specifically said for them to take their time and get it right as there was beautiful filigree underneath. When I got it back there were only 12 stones surrounding the centre stone, I still for the life of me do not know how they missed the last diamond. The ruined the filigree and when I spoke to them about it they said they couldn't do anything because they didn't have a photo of the filigree. Strike 2 I recently returned from my mother's with a ring Underwoods made for her that she rarely wore and I dropped once and it started rattling. I went in and asked for them to fix the rattle, the sales assistant was great, she was from the North Lakes store, and said she'll see if she could just take it to the workshop to quickly get the easy fix. There was a backlog so she recommended I come back in 3 weeks, no problem. I went back in and was told that I would have to spend $80 for them to fix the rattle. We have spent thousands of dollars on our own jewellery there and had to pay $80 because I dropped the ring ONCE. Yet the North Lakes staff wasn't going to charge me. Strike 3 We are taking our business elsewhere.
I took a bracelet in to be resized and it came back the same size if not bigger. So I returned to the shop to let them know and was verbally abused by the manager saying “well it’s not our fault” insinuating that it was my fault that the bracelet wasn’t sized correctly. I was confused and asked how and she said I was abusing her and then she threatened to call security. I was quite confused and rattled by the whole situation and I won’t be returning.
Please whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING SENTIMENTAL FROM THIS STORE. Unfortunately my engagement ring is from here and within a few short weeks of wearing it I started to have issues. When I went into the store the staff were quite rude and accused me of creating the problems with the ring and stated that the bronze tone of the bottom of my ring is normal after about a month and rhodium plating needs to be replaced on some rings around 3 months others can last a year. My other issue was that my diamonds were loose on both sides of the band and the girl mentioned that I may have “bumped the ring” instead of offering to fix the fault as I’d only just got the ring she told me the cost for it to be tightened and re rhodium plated. Obviously I declined as I wasn’t paying for either of those when we just spent 6K on the ring. After constant back and forth with this company they have re plated the ring and tightened it free of charge but as I took the issue further with management due to my poor customer service experience my partner received a call and the lady stated that she had watched their cctv cameras and I seemed happy while I was in the store whilst wearing a mask! This is extremely insulting as I was respectful to their staff members cause I understood it was not their fault and even when they were abrupt and rude I didn’t get fiery because I work in customer service myself. So although I’ve accepted the faulty ring a week ago with rhodium plating that is already changing colour it doesn’t change is the experience from the rude staff members which has ruined one of the best moments in our life.
My engagement ring and wedding bands were made by Underwood's Maroochydore. First issue related to the wedding bands. I was very specific and articulated what I wanted simple design of 1/2 band of diamonds the same size as the ones in the band of my engagement ring, for them to line up so when worn the diamonds were in line with eachother. When I went to collect, it didn't look right and they didn't line up. The lady tried to tell me that I was better off as I got an extra diamond in each band, turns out that they used a size smaller diamond which is why nothing lined up. Spoke with Tracey who made 2 news rings as originally requested, right size diamonds and everything lined up which the first lady told me was not possible. This took multiple visits to the store and tense conversations, very stressful and original staff member made me to feel like I was being completely unreasonable and I should just take the rings. Second, recent issue. We purchased with Underwood's because of their warranty and free cleaning service. A diamond fell out of my engagement band 2 months after I got it, which they replaced on warranty as there was no damage to the claws and they said it was probably just too loose. Warrenty is maintained if you take your rings to be regularly cleaned and checked, which I do nearly every month. Another diamond fell out now 3 years later, so I took it in and it was left there with the question of warranty or a quote to replace. 2 weeks later I get a text that may ring is ready to be collected they had replaced the diamond under warrenty. When I got the ring though, it's appearance had been changed, and now had metal coming up the sides around the diamonds to hold in place?.  When I spoke with Tracey jeweller expressing concern that it had been changed from what it was originally, she told me I was wrong that she had just repointed ? Not sure if that's the term, and kept insisting that "most people ate happy when we do work for free" and dismissed my concerns, one of which was also that at no point did anyone call me to discuss the work being done or get any form of consent to do something deviating to why I took it in.  I wasn't able to finish a sentence before she would interrupt and tell me I was wrong. She got quite angry at me, and said that if she were to put it back to how it was she would no longer provide warrenty. In the end I just took my ring and left and as I did so she told me that I "didn't need to come back" I said I did, as to maintain warrenty I needed to get it cleaned regularly, and she said "no, you really don't need to come back" as in read between the lines, don't. This has been a very upsetting experience for me, especially as it is my engagement ring, and I was spoken to so rudely and not heard at all. I have compared photos of the ring from when it was given to me to now to make sure I'm not going crazy and it is absolutely different. Now when I look at my ring I'm reminded of this horrible experience rather than what it should represent, hopefully that fades over time. As a side note, the sales staff have always been very lovely.
I took two bracelets in to be repaired. The assistant went to get a quote for me and came back with 'good news and bad news'. The first bracelet can be fixed at the cost of $45....all it needed was a link refixed...but the second one you might as well throw in the bin and buy a new one!! The second one is a bracelet my Mum gave me and holds alot of sentimental value and to be told to just throw it the bin and replace is extremely thoughtless and rude. I left the store and found a lovely local repairer who fixed first bracelet at the cost of $5 and working on the second bracelet for me as he understands the value it means to me and can never be replaced. Do not shop here, overpriced and rude.
