AVOID THE MAROOCHYDORE STORE - THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER OR AFTER SALES SERVICE To set the scene, I have a rose gold Michael Hill watch. The battery was replaced a month ago and it has since stopped working again. I went into MH Kawana and they said it must be faulty so, instead of sending it away and me being without the watch again, she would have it replaced. I was told, as they didn’t have the watch in stock at Kawana, one had been put aside for me at Maroochydore. I went to the Maroochydore store to collect the watch. I was seen by the manager Linda. I explained I had been to Kawana and the watch should be out the back for me. She told me she knew nothing of it and asked if I had a receipt. I explained I didn’t have it on me but she could look it up on the system. She told me it didn’t matter any way because she wasn’t going to replace the watch. I asked her to maybe ask the other lady working there if she knew anything of the exchange request – she said there was no point as she would know if such a thing was promised as she was the manager. I asked if she could please ask anyway – to which she replied in a very condescending way with a raised voice, this is just about a watch, the other sales assistant is currently selling a $15000 ring so I am not going to bother her about a watch. I then questioned her after sales customer service and she walked away from me to the border of the outside of the store and beckoned me to come over. I was shocked that she was beckoning me and said I was staying where I was and told her I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. I asked her to call the Kawana store to verify my story and she told me she would not so I got my mobile phone out and I called them but unfortunately Maureen and Taize had finished their shift so could not verify my story. Linda then went on to disrespect the Kawana store, she was very rude and she was causing quite a scene and I was very frustrated as she wasn’t listening to me. I embarrassingly became very emotional and started to cry so I left the store in tears. Today I spoke to Taize at Kawana. What a breath of fresh air. He has completely changed my opinion of Michael Hill for the better and I will be recommending the Kawana store to my friends and I will most certainly be telling them to stay well away from the Maroochydore store and the crazy manager with zero customer service. I believe that Linda is the absolute worst example of customer service that I have ever experienced.
