My 20 year old son has been buried here since the 10 July 2020. The reason I chose this cemetery is because it’s super close to where I live which means it’s easy for us to visit him everyday without having to battle Melbourne traffic and I love the feeling of the cemetery when I’m there. There are a few other young Pacific Islanders in the cemetery and it’s lovely to see my son will not be on his own! I can visit anytime of the morning or night and I love that feeling as it brings me so much comfort knowing I can do that. This is a very old cemetery too as there are headstones there that are dated far back as 200 years old. My understanding is there is a huge area on this land that is Aboriginal owned land and will be untouched, therefore I believe this will remain a small cemetery.
