Well appointed, affordable cabin within 50 minute drive to Lake St. Clair National Park. The cabin was relatively new, very comfortable and quiet. There is a restaurant and cafe on site but, if cooking your own food, be sure to pick prior to arriving. There are no stores within an hour's drive. Lovely short bush walks nearby that are great for viewing Wallabys in the wild.

Being a cabin and caravan park, we weren't expecting much, but we were very surprised by the quality of the cabin when we arrived! It was renovated and modern; very clean and comfortable. The main bedroom was a little squashy, but the second bedroom was good enough for kids, with a bunk bed and small wardrobe. The bathroom was modern and clean. The kitchenette was usable and functional, but only the bare necessities were supplied. Unfortunately this did not include a soup ladle!! Nevertheless, it was a great place to stay. Despite the school across the road, it is in a quiet area just off the highway and close enough to the shops and the Maria Island Ferry.

We were based at Triabunna CP for a week. It is a small well managed park, well positioned with good infrastructure. The camp kitchen is functional and the showers ($1 for 4 minutes) are nice and hot. Some sites may be a little tight for larger vans but overall would recommend this park.

My husband and I based ourselves at this cabin and caravan park for 2 nights so that we could visit Maria Island. The park is in a great location, just a short walk from the wharf, the Maria Island ferry, the fish & chip van and the local shops. Our cabin was quite spacious and had a small, but well equipped kitchenette. The WiFi here is a bit spotty (drops in and out) but this is the case with most locations in regional Tasmania. There is a little bit of noise from the highway in the mornings. The staff here are really nice!
